With two goals and an assist in his first two outings for Newcatle, it’s fair to say that Moussa Sissoko has announced his arrival in the Premier League with a bang. Fantasy managers have taken little time to react. Sissoko has earned over 80,000 new owners in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) in the last six days, second only to the Liverpool assets who are about to enjoy two fixtures in the Gameweek.

Sissoko’s immediate appeal is obvious – thrust into a β€œnumber 10” role in support of Papiss Cisse from a central position in Newcastle’s attacking midfield three, the omens look good for continued profit to put a smile on the face of Alan Pardew and Sissoko’s new owners alike.

Is he the real deal? With just two appearances so far, the data available affords a limited sample but can, nonetheless, offer a barometer to Sissoko’s potential next to the established midfielders on offer. In this latest article for members, we investigate how Sissoko’s numbers stack up, both against the Premier League’s best and the assets on offer in Alan Pardew’s squad.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Federici (Away vs. Stoke) or Mignolet (Home vs. Ars)???

    Potential save bonus for each, but surely I should play Federici??

          I reckon Sunderland will stop Arsenal. Wouldn't be surprised if they actually win and get CS.

      I was going to take notice but then I realised it was Talksport πŸ˜‰ I'd be worried if he did as I've done Bale --> Gerrard(c)!

    Ok, best defender for 4.8 or below from GW29 --->

    Rest of back line will be: Davies, Martin, Harte, Demel, _________

    A) Cuellar (if fit)
    B) Wilson (if fit) (double up with Bego)
    C) Hill/Fabio
    D) Anyone else

    Last question.

    A - Suarez (C) + Bertrand/Clyne

    or

    Which is best guys?

    A) Baines & Lambert -> Turner & Suarez(c) [4 point hit]
    B) Szczesny -> Reina

    A) looks the best on paper, but will require a 4 point hit this week, and another next week in order to field 11 (something like Enrique & Suarez -> JEvans & Aguero)

    Szczesny, (Bunn)
    Baines, Enrique, Davies, (Harte), (Demel)
    Bale, Mata, Walcott, Fellaini, (Marveaux)
    RVP, Sturridge, Lambert

    The votes show Suarez way ahead for Captain with Gerrard in second place.

    For people with both players who are you captaining?? Am going for Gerrard as Sturridge might steal the limelight from Suarez.

    Any thoughts?

      Yes, if Stu plays, I would go for Gerrard as captain πŸ™‚

      My method says that Suarez is the best bet, but i have doubts πŸ™‚

      Stu, I'm confident he will play 90 mins in both games and Gerrard's high scores have been an anomaly. He's playing the Scholes role since Lucas came back.

    Taking two 4 point hits in the coming gameweeks to do,

    Suarez >>>> Rooney
    Michu >>>> Sissoko
    Benteke >>>> Aguero
    Cameron >>>> Wilson

    Firstly, does this sound like a good idea? I add that I'm not losing much value on any of these players and don't have RVP.

    And second, should I go for Rooney away to QPR first or Aguero at home to Chelsea...

    Thanks
