The second Dugout Discussion of the six we’ll be seeing this gameweek sees Sunday welcome David Moyes’ Everton to Owen Coyle’s Bolton.

Bolton have named an unchanged side from that which lost at Spurs last week while Everton make two changes from the side which beat Blackpool as Tim Cahill makes his first start since returning from Qatar in place of injured Jack Rodwell and Victor Anichebe starts up front in place of last week’s four goal hero Louis Saha, who has another injury. Teams in full are…

Bolton: Jaaskelainen; Ricketts, G. Cahill, Knight, Robinson; Holden, M. Davies, Taylor; Elmander, K. Davies, Sturridge

Everton: Howard; Neville, Distin, Heitinga, Baines; Coleman, Fellaini, Arteta, Bilyaletdinov; T. Cahill; Anichebe

The Dugout Discussion will be open for any and all of you waiting on Seamus Coleman or Victor Anichebe to boost their weekly scores.

Anyone fancy Valencia to be back for Man U's DGW? I've got Vidic and Nani but like the idea of bringing another in to take advantage of the 2 games... Fletch, Giggs, Scholes and Park all seem like gambles, but if Valencia gets a run out in the FA cup game against Crawley town, I fancy him to play a role in PL games for the remainder of the season... Hmmmm.

He won't just come straight back into the first team.

Players who have been out for such a long time are prone to niggles too.

Yeah no problem with Smalling getting some BPs but with Nani getting none it kinda takes the mick a bit!

If Rooney had to get any extra for a wonder goal it surely should have only been 1, but I'd agree he didn't really do much else to warrant it.

I've been caught WUMing about Everton lately so I'll try to be serious now. I think Moyes is a great manager who overachieved with that squad for a number of years and is finally starting to get found out.

First of all the squad is very very thin and secondly only a few of the players are of the quality that is needed to push onto the European places. Thirdly, the top teams are much better this seasons than previous ones so it's natural that they struggle. I expect Everton to finish somewhere between 12th-14th, which is which is where I would rate squad.

Re the team value versus s0d team value discussion earlier.

If Man Utd play twice I could do RVP (no game) - Rooney(two games) and Fab(no game) - Cahill (two games the following week)

I'd want RVP back and swapping Rooney back out for him for the next week would cost me .4.

Seems like .4 well spent if Rooney can deliver the goods.

    Any thoughts?

All this praise for Smalling borders on patronising him. He was good, obviously, but it wasn't the fantastic display that people have made it out to be. City didn't carry too much of a threat going forward, Tevez was dire, and so Smalling wasn't tested too much. Sky were really scraping the barrel in their analysis of his performance when they were waxing lyrical over his pass back to VDS until a little bit of pressure from Tevez.

Sorry, had to get that off my chest. It's not ABU nonsense, I thought he played well, but the extent to which he's been praised is pretty patronising IMO.

This is a very premature assessment, as you suggest yourself by the "I think". Having three Arsenal attacking players, like I do, isn't that much of an advantage if everyone has attacking players as well.

I'm looking at that Stoke-Arsenal fixture next week, and any points that, in the case of my mini-league, Fabs or Walcott get, will put me straight ahead of my rivals. So I'm still feeling pretty confident about my double gameweek players.

But I'll wildcard them out anyway, so it doesn't concern me too much either way.

I suppose this has probably been commentated on before, but if Kompany was only classed as a defender he would be on 116 points, one behind Vidic in the top-scoring defender charts.

My question is, how will he be re-priced? Is it possible that his very low score this year, with only 1 assist and 3 bonus points to his name thus far, might keep his price relatively low? If he can keep his 5.5 price this year, or move up to 6.0, then he'll be an unbelievable prospect.
