The second Dugout Discussion of the six we’ll be seeing this gameweek sees Sunday welcome David Moyes’ Everton to Owen Coyle’s Bolton.

Bolton have named an unchanged side from that which lost at Spurs last week while Everton make two changes from the side which beat Blackpool as Tim Cahill makes his first start since returning from Qatar in place of injured Jack Rodwell and Victor Anichebe starts up front in place of last week’s four goal hero Louis Saha, who has another injury.     Why is everyone moaning over Tim Cahill? I didn't watch the match but I presume it's a case that not enough crosses were put onto that faultless head of his. That's the only way he scores - from crosses.

    You get what you pay for with him - either 2 points or possibly 10. He was on form earlier in the season and I don't see him emulating that. I'll still probably get him for the double mind.

          Is VDV part of your plans? Can't you get him back later? When would you want him back? Do you want to be without Cahill for the double?

            I think VDV is a season keeper for me, but yeah, Cahill for the double is essential too, and could only be done for a 4 point hit or for Nani/Fabs in GW29 if I get Begovic in for GW28....decisions decisions.

          Well, I think having 9 DGW players and 11 players is for GW28 is solid management.

          Unless you still have both your wildcards you will have to compromise on the fixtures somehow.

          Most of my players have decent fixtures anyway.

      Will get Rooney in for Van Persie next week and play 4-3-3. The plan is then to get Van Persie back for Odem in GW29. That'd give me a frontline of Bent, Rooney and Van Persie for the run in.

    is it just me that thinks this 2nd wildcard has made things boring? most have similar teams and it shows in the scores this week, everyone seems very similar all around the 60-75 mark

      Yep, looks like he'll get plenty of game time. Beckford would be a decent shout if he was starting (Saha's out, not sure for how long, but Anichebe played today.)

        Saha is too expensive considering the stress he would give you (I'd have heart failure just watching him do the warm up - as if this game couldn't get more stressful) and Baines is not picking up enough clean sheets (his points tally would be incredible if he could), but I have not ruled either out yet. Decisions, decisions.
