After claiming winnings back in Gameweek 5, last weekend we missed out on further glory thanks to Ben Davies’ smartly taken goal for Swansea. Aaron Ramsey did his bit by notching a fourth league strike of the season at the Liberty, but the Gunners defence gave way to snatch the winnings from our clammy fists. In this week’s Scout Pick’s inspired flutter, we again look to the midfielders to help us silence a grinning Paddy Power.

Before that, a reminder that Paddy are offering Fantasy Football Scout visitors enhanced odds on Wayne Rooney to score at the Stadium of Light this evening. New accounts can get 4/1 on Wayne Rooney to notch anytime. Click here to get involved.

Returning to this weekend’s markets, we find that three of the Scout Picks midfield are featured. Liverpool’s Victor Moses heads up the trio as he prepares to face former club Crystal Palace at Anfield. Fantasy managers, punters and the bookies alike can only see this one as a heavy home win, with the strike pair of Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez carrying the armband for many in Saturday’s match.

Moses is a unpredictable character by comparison but, nonetheless, he’s the midfielder most likely to net in the Gameweek according to Paddy’s odds. They have him at 11/4 to score anytime with a Liverpool clean sheet against the Eagles. Having backed the old favourite in the picks, we’ll also show confidence by laying down £5 of our tenner stake and making this our bet of the week.

Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen managed to fend off the considerable challenge of team-mates Paulinho and Gylfi Sigurdsson to find a home in the Picks for the local derby with West Ham. The cultured Danish playmaker is yet to open his league account for Andre Villas-Boas’ side but Paddy are offering 11/2 for Eriksen to score with a Tottenham clean sheet against the Hammers at the Lane. We’ll wager another £3 of our stake on this one.

That leaves us with just a couple of quid to throw the way of Cardiff’s Peter Whittingham, now the weapon of choice in the Bluebirds midfield. In Fantasy terms, he’s played second fiddle to budget rival Robbie Brady at Hull, but, with the Irishman sidelined, Whittingham looks well placed to earn further interest.

He faces a Newcastle side that are still smarting from a first-half mauling at Goodison on Monday night and, while we expect Alan Pardew’s team to show more fight against the Welshmen, Cardiff have a formidable home record and will provide another stern test for the Magpies. Paddy have Whittingham at 9/1 to score with a Cardiff clean sheet against Newcastle and those odds earn our final slice of this week’s stake money.

    Morning all.

All set? Feels slightly wrong that I'm not spending Saturday morning making last minute scrabbling transfers... wierd.

    Determined to stand pat though.
