Sold by Sunderland on the final day of the summer transfer window after then-manager Paolo Di Canio decided ”he was not capable anymore to give his best”, Stephane Sessegnon has been handed the chance to resurrect his top-flight career at the Hawthorns:

The Benin international made an immediate impact on his debut – ironically at his former manager’s expense. Handed the role in “the hole” as Steve Clarke returned to the 4-2-3-1 formation of 2012/13, Sessegnon dazzled in the Baggies’ 3-0 Gameweek 5 home win over the Black Cats and turned in a display that suggested his former manager was perhaps a little rash in his decision to sell.

Sessegnon has failed to produce a goal or assist in his following four appearances for the Baggies – given that run included games against United, Arsenal and Liverpool, in addition to a derby trip to Stoke, it’s fair to say the fixtures have been firmly against the 6.6 priced Fantasy Premier League (FPL) midfielder. With five home games in the next eight, supplemented by trips to Newcastle and Cardiff, the schedule is starting to smile a little kinder on Clarke’s side and with Sessegnon at the hub of their attacking ploys, we delve into the data to assess him displays thus far.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

This is the first time in a long time I'm not taking a hit purely because all my guys have tough fixtures. I'm a Cabaye owner and I will play him. Any chance he gets something against Chelsea? I'm looking for some Toon magic.

Sorry for report, lost on last page: 2FT, 0.5M ITB.

    Team:

    Mignolet (Davis)
Terry Chico Clyne (Coleman, B Turner)
    Amalfitano Silva Ozil Oscar (Januzaj)
    Lukaku Suarez Benteke

Any ideas guys!? Was thinking maybe Coleman -> Williams and save the other FT.

Also, who to captain out of those strikers?

Personally I would get JT as I think chelsea will do well defensively this season and he is always good for a goal...

Plus you already have Lampard in midfield. Then you could do Lamps for Oscar or Haz later on.,..

    Is Mignolet worth keeping ?

I say no because since suarez returned their style is more attacking and the pool just dont get cleanies.

6 nice fixtures and 0 cleanies is shocking.

They got 3 cleanies at the start because when they took the lead they protected it and settled for
    1-0 wins.

After fulham game im selling migs because for me hes poor value at his price.

This seems utterly unnecessary this week as form, fixtures, stats and history all align to point to a Man City captain. Nevertheless I'm nothing if not unnecessary.

As per the last couple of weeks, for those struggling to pick a captain and who believe in bogey teams, etc. here are some of the popular captain choices with some key stats of their previous performances against this week's opposition.

    Aguero vs Norwich
    Appearances - 4
    Goals - 4
    Assists - 1
    Yellow Cards - 0
    Red Cards - 0

    Silva vs Norwich
    Appearances - 4
    Goals - 3
    Assists - 0
    Yellow Cards - 0
    Red Cards - 0

    Rooney vs Fulham
    Appearances - 21
    Goals - 11
    Assists - 3
    Yellow Cards - 1
    Red Cards - 1

    Van Persie vs Fulham
    Appearances - 13
    Goals - 6
    Assists - 1
    Yellow Cards - 2
    Red Cards - 0

    Giroud vs Liverpool
    Appearances - 2
    Goals - 1
    Assists - 1
    Yellow Cards - 1
    Red Cards - 0

    Suarez vs Arsenal
    Appearances - 5
    Goals - 2
    Assists - 0
    Yellow Cards - 0
    Red Cards - 0

    Hazard vs Newcastle
    Appearances - 1
    Goals - 1
    Assists - 1
    Yellow Cards - 0
    Red Cards - 0

    Torres vs Newcastle
    Appearances - 8
    Goals - 2
    Assists - 5
    Yellow Cards - 1
    Red Cards - 0

The Toon Army won't let Newcastle sit which will allow the counter for Chelsea with Hazard at the forefront. Also had a week off which is a good thing. Got a good feeling about it. Called it when they were playing Cardiff and bottled it. Not going to this week.

      Holding.

But if you can do that for free (no hits) then maybe worth it - great (c) this week.

yeah...can still do for free, which is why it's tricky.

Rooney could well get something at leaky Fulham but i want Aguero from next week anyway.

Rooney would be my skipper if i kept him.

Would you switch if you could for free?

    Got the following team:

    Mignolet
    Ivanovic - Mertesacker - Clyne
    Oscar - Michu - ? - ?
    Aguero - Sturridge - Lukaku

Who shall I play in midfield?

    A: Ramsey + Brady
    B: Ramsey + Morrison
    C: Brady + Morrison

My rival has Ramsey and Brady. I need to catch up with him. The question is basically: Shall I play Morrison over Brady or Ramsey?

    Thanks 🙂

Morrison? Is that Jorrison or Rorrison?
But whichever he is i'll play him first.
Now I can't pick between Brady and Ramsey... You can go with who do you think will score 🙂

Brady is still 50/50 to start (check Physioroom), if he comes as last time cameo, it'll be hard for you. But he can still get a penalty if he's lucky.
Ramsey could be explosive but is likely to rotated in the future.

Its Ravel Morrison. If Brady is injured then I'll start Ravel at home agains Villa. I guess I cant ignore the form of Ramsey and have to play him as well.

    0 Goals in 5 matches
    1 Goal in 19 matches (0-1 in 8 matches, 1-0 in 11 matches)

Been reading quite a lot about MLS recently. Starting to like it quite a lot. The history is quite inspiring, they've learnt lessons from the failed North American Soccer League that relied too much on foreign imports and grown their own players who've been good enough to go to Europe. The likes of Dempsey, Donovan, Beasley, now Guzan, Cameron and Altidore (don't harsh him).

I also like how they have teams from Canada so it's got a fun transnational rivalry.

Expecting big things from them as they continue to gain credibility.

Yeah, doubling up isn't ideal, but its worked out alright so far.

I was set on transferring Suarez out this week until he got his hat trick, i'd been planning ahead - straight swap of Suarez to Aguero. Then i realised he's essential

Who would you ship out for Aguero? Currently looking at shifting Giroud out but would require a hit, other option is Rooney. Both seem a bit ludicrous but surely having Aguero as captain would benefit me more. Main reason for Giroud is the fact Arsenal now have Liverpool then Manu plus a few other tough fixtures. What do you think?

I agree both seem ludicrous. Currently leaning towards Giroud as he's got tough fixtures, reported tiredness and regressed towards his old ways a bit on the shooting front.

Yeah either is a great captain. I think a Giroud assist against Pool is fairly plausible, but think he might find it tricky scoring. That said he might get an inevitable near post header from a corner...

If I get Aguero it's gotta be him (C). A brace and I would be pretty comfortable with Giroud doing something.
