Prior to limping out of City’s Champions League defeat in Barcelona on Wednesday evening, Sergio Aguero was the runaway leader in this week’s Captain Poll. The Argentine has since been ruled out of tomorrow afternoon’s trip to Hull, scuppering many a Fantasy manager’s plan for this week and potentially beyond. Our Friday members regular returns once again as we look to the main contenders in this week’s Captain Poll for inspiration:

This week, we take a different approach to the Captain Sensible article and use the Stats Tables in the Members section as our guide. By using the top five players in this week’s Captain Poll (Aguero, Romelu Lukaku, Luis Suarez, Eden Hazard and Adam Lallana) as a starting point, we’ve created a table based around a number of their key statistics in order to flag up any other players offering a similar sort of threat.

          Yeah it is, but Distin and Azpi play for good defence and start every week Ward has Pulis as manager so you know they'll have clean sheets even against some of the big teams. Nicely done

            I have to give credit to whole community around here.
            This team is good because of a good january wildcard which i made from the ideas of people over here and some RMTs.It has been an upward graph from that point on

    Oh it's been a bad week for me so far.

    Plumped for Remy very early, which I shouldn't have, then I hear he's injured. So I've pulled the trigger on a further 2 transfers as I couldn't afford to do a straight swap for Lukaku.
