Prior to limping out of City’s Champions League defeat in Barcelona on Wednesday evening, Sergio Aguero was the runaway leader in this week’s Captain Poll. The Argentine has since been ruled out of tomorrow afternoon’s trip to Hull, scuppering many a Fantasy manager’s plan for this week and potentially beyond. Our Friday members regular returns once again as we look to the main contenders in this week’s Captain Poll for inspiration:

This week, we take a different approach to the Captain Sensible article and use the Stats Tables in the Members section as our guide. By using the top five players in this week’s Captain Poll (Aguero, Romelu Lukaku, Luis Suarez, Eden Hazard and Adam Lallana) as a starting point, we’ve created a table based around a number of their key statistics in order to flag up any other players offering a similar sort of threat.

    So here I am again, minus many needless points, will chamberlain start this weekend? I know he's arsenal's most vital attacking player and tried to beat Bayern Munich on his own at the Allianz Arena, and that arsenal are losing a midfielder each week would imply wenger will have to include him because there's no one else, but maybe Podolski will get his fourth start, Giroud and Sanogo will play up front together, or Sagna will play in midfield.

    I think, having endured the aguero debacle and getting into a philosophical debate with myself that one's desire to over tweak their team restlessly is born out of the need to just DO something because it's a game where you just sit and watch and wait patiently and the lack of being in control is frustrating and unsatisfying and the only reason to do it is for a little number to rise we're all sick sick. I've figured that I'm going to knee jerk the heck out these last few weeks, Hazard dropped for the double game week an all, and ..yeah.

      Never trust lukaku. He's not involved enough. With barkley back, and it is cardiff, maybe that'll be the difference, but if he gets no chances, and the only goals are a baines free kick and own goal I won't be surprised. United might contain liverpool as they have chelsea and arsenal, and make ugly. I don't think hazard is a bad pick...though i also think villa might get something from the game..

      My advice is terrible. Captain Lukaku. No don't. Ignore all this,
