Paddy Power Special – 3/1 on More than 2.5 Goals in Chelsea v Arsenal Match

Ahead of today’s early kick-off at Stamford Bridge, Paddy Power have come up with another tempting offer for those yet to register an account. Our bookmaker friends are offering odds of 3/1 for more than 2.5 goals in the match between Chelsea and Arsenal at the Bridge.

Given that the normal odds on more than 2.5 goals is 11/10 , this is clearly one to consider as both sides look for a vital win that could prove pivotal to their title aspirations. To clarify, the Chelsea v Arsenal enhanced odds special is limited to a £10 stake, open to new Paddy Power customers only and subject to the terms and conditions specified.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

I am relaying all of this by text to my gooner GF who is being driven down the M6 in the rain, listening to her nieces One Direction CD.

This is so tragically bad she probably thinks I am winding her up.

I called 3-1 to Chelsea yesterday but it's probably going to be a lot worse

31 to Chelsea would have been better.

    Technical Q:

So when they appeal the red card for Gibbs it will be rescinded, right?

Am I right in thinking that they can't then retrospectively ban OX-C, because the ref saw the incident, and dealt with it on the pitch, or can they give it because he missed that it was OX-C?

Well Gibbs will certainly get off a suspension. The Ox will probably be safe from suspension I imagine.

I'm fairly certain I've heard the FA say before that they can't change a referee's decision UNLESS there has been a serious/obvious error made by the referee.

Ok so Gibbs gets card rescinded and maybe Ox gets it.

Or possibly AW decides not to appeal it and take the hit on Gibbs as he is a bit short on MF.

Can FA rescind/card OX etc without an Arsenal appeal?

there was still time before that silly Ox decision, but at least you can take some relief in the fact that the the red will be rescinded..
