As many of you may have noticed, the EA Sports Index has already been published on the Premier League site. This, of course, is how the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) will break down the Bonus Points in this season’s game.

Many of the names are as we anticipated, though what’s something of a surprise is Shay Given, with 5 saves in Aston Villa’s 0-0 draw at Fulham, looks as though he’s earned no Bonus Points, despite keeping the Cottagers at bay. Newcastle’s Steven Taylor, on the other hand, is the top-rated player on the Index for the goalless Newcastle-Arsenal game. Wigan’s Victor Moses, Man of the Match in many press sources with 9 successful dribbles and 3 shots, is also likely to miss out.

As expected, goal scoring is the main factor- by the looks of things, Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney, Ivan Klasnic and Steven Fletcher are the highest-rated players on the EA Sports Index for their respective games and seem set to grab all 3 Bonus Points.

Fantasy Football Scout will, of course, be breaking down the Bonus in full for the Premier League and you can expect our article on the matter to be published later today.

Fab has gone and thank god.....sick of reading about the whole thing. One thing Barca have shown is that they have no class whatsoever. Surly there are rules in place to stop clubs being walked over in such a public manner.

They seem to forget that they were happy to sell him to Arsenal 8 years ago...did anyone put a gun to their head and make them accept 2.25 million. Making ridiculous sensationalist comments about how he was stolen/kidnapped from them to make anyone but themselves look bad...get a grip and join the real world.

As for Fabregas clearly contracts mean nothing to him or the footballing world in general. He happily signed a 6 year contact not so long ago...Arsenal lined his pockets and developed him into the world superstar that he is today. When a team rejects a bid that should be the end of it. But Barca's bully boy tactics have forced Arsenal to cut their losses. I wish though that Wenger had more of a nasty streak in him though. I would have kicked off.

In conclusion....I hate Barca, they can kiss my a55. I don't even like the way they play. I can accept that they are the best at what they do but it doesn't mean I have to pretend I enjoy watching them make 50 1 foot 1 touch passes between the back four....it does nothing for me. Bunch of self-righteous, cheating rat bags!

Initially I was just sharing the news, then it turned into something more. Just don't like Barca I guess. I am not even a Gunner lol 😉

Just winds me up how they seem to get away with a lot. It's one rule for the big super clubs and another for the rest!

To be fair, Arsenal were a bit naughty signing Fabregas in the first place - in Spain, you can't give a contract to anyone under 17, so Arsenal jumped in and signed him from Barca's academy at 16.

Utd did the same thing with Pique (and Rossi and Macheda from Italy).

It's just because it's only the start of the season. I don't think there were much more teams last year at this moment. People keep on joining the game during the season as well...
However, I suppose next year FPL may struggle to get even one million players...

I'm loosing count of the number of glitches with new FPL site. Why did they have to change it. I now it's been said numerous times but... If it aint broke don't fix it. And it wasn't broke. Hope this is just because it's the first GW and they manage to fix all the problems sooner rather than later.

Putting how bonus are chosen aside for one second...surely the creation of more bonus points (where everyone on the same PPI score gets 1point for instance) is going to mess up comparative points from previous years? there are now just more points in the system?

35 points with Silva(C) and Kompany still to play.

    1) Taarabt away to Everton? or O'Hara home to Fulham?

    2) Anyone know the extent of Given's injury? maybe miss GW2 and be ready for GW3? in the case i'll play Ruddy and bench him.

      I'm thinking the same Artic.
Baines was on my bench for GW1, he's going straight into starting 11 but unsure of playing Taarabt. Other mids I have are Nani, Malouda and Moses who i'm gonna play regardless and i'll stick Tiote on bench.
I've got Ruddy too so i will wait until further in the week to see what the extent of Given's injury is then decide what to do.

Repost I'm afraid, no love on the previous page.

Afternoon all. I’m aware this may well get buried under people discussing their points, but was looking for some advice for my team.

Currently I have Rodallega (who I don’t particularly want to risk not starting again), and Clichy (who was a temporary placeholder before the infamous FPL crash). I’m thinking is switching to Enruiqe and Zamora. Firstly, is it a good idea in principle? Secondly, are these the right options?

    Cheers guys.

Liverpool have some tough/medium games coming up, and didnt look to solid at the back in my opinion. Zamora looks a better bet. Picking up bonus points and with an easier run of games.

Is anyone looking at Everton, outside of Baines? Traditionally slow starters but they've got a good run of games.

Rodallega had been to the Copa America, and missed most of pre-season, but I'd expect him to be back in the team next week.

At least wait until Clichy has played (or not...) before you make a decision.
