EA Sports Index Points Released

As many of you may have noticed, the EA Sports Index has already been published on the Premier League site. This, of course, is how the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) will break down the Bonus Points in this season’s game.

Many of the names are as we anticipated, though what’s something of a surprise is Shay Given, with 5 saves in Aston Villa’s 0-0 draw at Fulham, looks as though he’s earned no Bonus Points, despite keeping the Cottagers at bay. Newcastle’s Steven Taylor, on the other hand, is the top-rated player on the Index for the goalless Newcastle-Arsenal game. Wigan’s Victor Moses, Man of the Match in many press sources with 9 successful dribbles and 3 shots, is also likely to miss out.

As expected, goal scoring is the main factor- by the looks of things, Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney, Ivan Klasnic and Steven Fletcher are the highest-rated players on the EA Sports Index for their respective games and seem set to grab all 3 Bonus Points.

Fantasy Football Scout will, of course, be breaking down the Bonus in full for the Premier League and you can expect our article on the matter to be published later today.

    Why have they removed the points alongside each fixture in the list? That is just unnecessarily taking away something useful.

    The bonus points never bothered me last year. I hope it's not because of all you nagging nellies that they changed it. Even the odd wrong assist was no reason to change the system. If people were placing their hopes for success in FPL on 100 per bent accurate bonuses and assists they're barking up the wrong tree.

    Mrs Snid is already on a cool 59 with Hart and Clichy to play, Huth coming in for Alcarez and potentially Tiote as well if Clichy doesn't play.

    Still seething over her Cahill and Elmo picks. She had Rooney captain as well.

    Beginning to think that there really isn't any point trying to plan a team out because lady luck will always win the day.

        There wasn't any thought process for her Elmo pick apart from "I knew who he was" and "it was all the money I had left"

        Cahill was "because he had the highest percentage"

      There was a study done a while back whereby they got a team of tipsters to pick some winning horses and also got a group of people who had no clue to pick who they wanted over a period of time (They just picked horses names they liked or the colour of the jersey) Guess who came out on top.

    Everybody acted like this new BP system was going to be so much more accurate, but it's not, and now it takes two days extra for us to find out the results.

    How does this point thing even add up - Jaaskelienen it says Gameweek 1 - 6pts but then he has 24???, and yet it doesn't even give a breakdown anymore of how players points are earned.

    Oh dear oh dear, the whole FPL changes and the way everythig has jsut gone to crap is devastatingly bad, i mean, why o why couldn't they of just kept things the same but just improved the graphics like they already have done, just really don't get it, the whole thing has lost its fun and what it's all about. Gutted.

    cant see how players in the tranfer page scored their points, so working out who is worth bringing in is going to be harder.

    How did man of the match Moses not get a bonus... and 2 assist Young missed out too... at least last year you could predict who the papers were biased towards.

    Doesn't seem to be a strategy anymore. This new system will get people buying bandwagon/glory players. So, Modirc who got countless BP's last season will probably hardly get any this season.

    Hiya lads, hate to ask this as i should already know where to go to find out, but you know like before a game starts, where the hell do you go to find out the exact line up that is playing in each team before the deadline to make changes to your team? the best i'm going off is the 'predicted line ups' right here on fantasy football scout, but where do you go to get the definitive line ups before deadline?

    Please any help would be appreciated, cheers.

      No one ever knows the exact lineup before the deadline unless a manager announces it in the press conference in the week. Only time it happens is on midweek gws with 7:45 kickoffs then teamsheets can come through 15/30 mins before deadline

      Alot of its valid, but i also think some of it is down to some horrid starts. Im one who didnt get a chance to even field the correct 11, let alone make changes. Im on 24 points with 6 on the bench, is this average or bad?
