FPL Clarification – The Checklist

There still seems to be some confusion amongst the Fantasy Premier League community regarding a number of elements associated with the changes implemented by the game this week.

To clarify matters, we’ve put together a list of points that has, this afternoon, been checked and confirmed by the FPL.

  • Transfers made this week are all free. Any points deducted from your total will be refunded to you once the Gameweek two deadline has passed.
  • Any Wildcards played in advance of Gameweek two will be returned to players once the Gameweek two deadline has passed.


  • The number of transfers you make in advance of Gameweek two’s deadline will be wiped and reset to zero once the deadline passed. This will mean that they will not count against you and become a factor should you be tied on points with a manager in your mini-league.


  • Price rises are frozen ahead of Gameweek two. Once the deadline has passed all transfer totals that are collected by players will be reset. Therefore, players will need to accrue further transfers in and transfers out next week in order to have their price rise or fall.


  • Gameweek one points will remain in the game and count towards the FPL overall points tallies. Mini-league admins can decide to reset their mini-leagues to start on Gameweek two should they wish. In the interest of those managers unable to log in and make changes prior to Gameweek one, Fantasy Football Scout will reset their mini-leagues accordingly.

      I fancy Spurs to get something against Utd. I don't think Utd are as strong as some pundits are making out. Weak centre at the minute.

    As a Silva owner the news that Nasri is likely on his way to City is very worrying. He is probably the only MF that I am sure about. Is it worth keeping him or looking at Cahill/Young/Nani?

      Looks decent enough. Baines as capt could be a nice differential (or a major boob).
      I'd definitely swap Tiote with Dyer (swans). Tiote is a yellow card machine and offers little attacking potential. Dyer looked pretty good against City. Then swap Sinclair to Sess or Jarvis/O hara
      Fabio long term not good due to rotation.

    guys,
    a rather unusual question form my side.. do you know if the fantasy football website works well on iPad2?
    I am thinking of buying a tablet since I travel a lot during weekends and it would be a perfect tool to stay conected..

      Just dont :/ Worst mistake i did when i started .. i picked last years best players and i had a disaster... Find out which teams are playing which when ... who is likely to score ... Stuff like that.. Anything can change this season 🙂

    This is great I said I was putting in VDV the other day and was lucky to not be burned at the stake, now he scores against HEARTS and every second post is about him, the reason I want his is because I think Spurs will beat United.

            Does it not annoy you? It is extremely repetitive seeing the same answers to same questions every page and now instead of will I get Malouda and Caroll it will be VDV and Carroll.

              Maybe you are spending too much time on here? I don't find it annoying its just how it is. Its easy to forget about a player like VDV when Spurs didn't play the opening week and EVERY rate my team post ignores him. Suddenly Spurs play and everyone remembers, hang on Spurs aren't bad and VDV makes them tick. Hmmmmmmm, 5mins passes.....rate my team! VDV (c) etc
              Its just how it is. No point letting it get you annoyed. Its not going to change.

        Whats with the Defoe bashing???? Season before last he was the dogs nuts, scored 5 in a game v Wigan(ok it was Wigan).. had his as captain...........and was injured most of last season. He is IMO still one of the best poachers in the league. If he starts scoring, he will not stop.
