FPL Clarification – The Checklist

There still seems to be some confusion amongst the Fantasy Premier League community regarding a number of elements associated with the changes implemented by the game this week.

To clarify matters, we’ve put together a list of points that has, this afternoon, been checked and confirmed by the FPL.

  • Transfers made this week are all free. Any points deducted from your total will be refunded to you once the Gameweek two deadline has passed.
  • Any Wildcards played in advance of Gameweek two will be returned to players once the Gameweek two deadline has passed.


  • The number of transfers you make in advance of Gameweek two’s deadline will be wiped and reset to zero once the deadline passed. This will mean that they will not count against you and become a factor should you be tied on points with a manager in your mini-league.


  • Price rises are frozen ahead of Gameweek two. Once the deadline has passed all transfer totals that are collected by players will be reset. Therefore, players will need to accrue further transfers in and transfers out next week in order to have their price rise or fall.


  • Gameweek one points will remain in the game and count towards the FPL overall points tallies. Mini-league admins can decide to reset their mini-leagues to start on Gameweek two should they wish. In the interest of those managers unable to log in and make changes prior to Gameweek one, Fantasy Football Scout will reset their mini-leagues accordingly.

    Evening guys!

    Do we still love Mr Moses? He was quite good in the opening game, right?

    I'm thinking this because if I downgrade cole to bosingwa, I could upgrade moses to sess or someone in that pricebracket.

    I see at least Scout is strongly expecting Bosingwa to keep his place in starting line up.

    Any wisdom??

      He seemed to p;lay well, but Wigan look pretty ropey overall. I'd certainly scan through options to upgrade Moses, Bosy should stay in at Chelski for time being.

    Best 6.0m or under forward. Any of Swanseas forwards any good? I reckon they will get alot of chances against the smaller teams

      Personally, I think it's hard to look beyond A Johnson. Looked sharp last week and through UEFA qualifying.

        I'd be all over it if Fletcher didn't have 4/6 home games. Still might go with him though.

        He keeps playing the full 90 mins while Zamora keeps getting subbed for Dembele.

    I'm finished. The Final draft. Locked in:

    Given (Vorm)
    Jags Bosingwa Komp (Senderos Simpson)
    Sess Moses N'Zog Silva (Dyer)
    Roon Suarez Torres

    Liking my DF. Its got 4 players who I will be struggling most weeks to pick 3 from. If/when Bos gets dropped then Enrique will most likely be drafted in.
    MF is pretty weak on the whole. I'm heavily relying on players who have are yet to prove themselves in the prem (Dyer,Moses & Sess). N'Zog and Silva (for now) seem solid enough.
    Attack looks beautiful, although Torres is still a risk its one worth taking due to fixtures and how he played against Stoke.

    Long term I'm sure Aguero will come in at some point for Roon/Torres and Silva will be out for someone like Nani/Young/Cahill.

    Any thoughts?

      He will definitely not be rotation with Fabio 😛 Yes. I imagine him and Jones will start at center back with Fabio at right back.

          My gut says Lescott and Smalling, but that could be due to the fact I support united 😉 haha

            Yeah was thinking that myself. I think Lescott could be a beast this season. And 5.5 for a United defender is great value.

    Team with a solid backline?

    I'm going away for the weekend tomorrow so won't be checking fpl...any changes now would be helpful, It's either now or never!

      ive the same forwards and keeper as u, but have a really cheap starting defence of enrique, senderos and woodgate. Allows for a strong midfield of nani, malouda, silva and moses. prefer the expensive mid than def!!

    I just can't make my mind up about Mr Torres. Nobody knows if he'll suddenly find form, get a goal and turn that into a hat-trick or carry on looking ok and producing no end product. Gah. I said I didn't want to take any unnecessary risks at the start of this season but he's tempting!

    So after a bad 1st week - 44 points this is my new team

    just switched Nzogbia and Yaya for lampard and sinclair - purely a move for next 2 GW's but still not convinced.
    Intend having Lampard as captain - does Torres need to go in favour of maybe suarez looking ahead to GW3

    rather have yaya and 1.5 over silva IMO. once Nasri gets there I think Silva and him will rotate often, i thought yaya just over achieved last season so went for silva at the start but yaya should of had a hat-trick last week and isn't afraid to shoot. I think they'll end up around the same amount of points again.
