The weekend saw six more qualifiers throw their hat into the ring for the biggest prize in weekly Fantasy Football, as the race for Mondogoal’s £30,000 World Championship picked up pace.

How Does it Work?

In the final Gameweek of the season, Mondogoal will crown their first World Champion and they will go away with a huge £10,000 top prize.

So far, 11 qualifiers have gone forward to the final Gameweek contest, with 159 places still up for grabs. To qualify, you need to win one of Mondogoal’s £30k qualifying contests – you can enter these for as little at £2 – less than the price of a pint, particularly where I live.

Gameweek 24 saw six more qualifiers progress, with the average score totaling just 82.64 in a low scoring Gameweek. Interestingly, five of those six teams lined up with a 3-4-3 formation and, not surprisingly, it was Harry Kane’s haul of 20.31 points that helped decide the contests.

How Do I Enter?

Mondogoal are running three more qualifying contests for the midweek Gameweek. You still have until 7.35pm to select you lineup for either the £2, £10 or £50 contests.

Bear in mind, the more you stake, the more chance you have of making it through, with just 22 teams competing in the £10 contest and only five duking it out in the high-rolling £50 contest.

If you’re consistent with your picks you may even be able to progress with more than one team – you can have up to ten entries in the Championship final come May.

Don’t forget, you can enter multiple contests with the same Mondogoal lineup with the click of a button. Once you’ve created your squad for one contest, go to your list of entries, click on a contest and then click “Enter This Lineup in Other Contests”.

FFS Gameweek 25 Picks

We’re going all out to get our Fantasy Football Scout squad in the Championship final come May 24 and we’d love to see some of the community in the hat alongside us.

From Gameweek 26, Granville and I will also be entering individual teams in the Championship and in a new Fantasy Football Scout challenge league. Look out for details of that next week.

For now, here’s the current lineup to carry our hopes into tonight’s £2 and £10 Qualifying contests….

As you can see, we’re banking on a Sunderland clean sheet against with sorry QPR turning up at the Stadium of Light without Charlie Austin. We’re pretty confident for this one – cocky enough to even consider loading up with three Black Cats defenders. We may still explore that option, particularly in the unlikely event that Laurent Koscielny is rested in order to give Gabriel Paulista his Arsenal debut against Leicester.

In midfield, with reports growing that Raheem Sterling could be out of this evening’s clash against Spurs, we’re currently backing Philippe Coutinho despite some minor concerns on his fitness – like the Koscielny situation, we’ll have the teamsheets available to verify that pick before the Mondogoal deadline. Marouane Fellaini is a gamble but, at just 6.9 million, one worth taking given his role in recent United performances – we’re backing him to get a start against Burnley at Old Trafford.

Up front, we’ve confidence in both Olivier Giroud and Jermain Defoe, while budgetary restrictions mean that we’ve had to seek out a cheap option to complete the strike force. Villa may have scored just a single goal in their last seven league outings but they are up against a Hull side who are also plunged into a run of miserable form – that’s enough to recognise that Gabby Agbonlahor could offer value at just 4.4 million. Differentials don’t come more gutsy that that.

Of course, our lineup is subject to change. We’ll be exploiting tonight’s teamsheets to tinker further.

Get you lineup together and in the hat to take us on. You’ll find the FFS squad in both the £2 and £10 contests tonight, whilst we’ve also got an entry in the £5 contest offering a £1000 prize pot. Head on over to Mondogoal to get involved now.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I currently don't own Sanchez. If he starts I will be bringing him in for Silva. However if he remains benched is it better to retain Silva for his 70-80minutes (ish) or transfer Sanchez in for his 20-30minutes (ish)?

If he starts, get him; if he doesn't, don't...simples!

    Foster
    PVA Terry Hutton
    Silva Haz Sanchez Elia
    Kun Kane Defoe

    Myhill Boyd Naughton Trippier

    A) Save my FT if Defoe is fit
    B) Defoe > Sturridge (Expensive, but a good differential in my ML)
    C) Defoe > Giroud (Elia > Sterling next GW)
