It’s time for Monday Night Football to bedazzle our television screens once more as we look forward to Blackpool hosting West Brom. Not many people would have expected that sentiment even at the beginning of the season, but this has the making of a great game, and if the past is any indication we’ll be in for a hum dinger of a game as the two respective fixtures last season saw 10 goals in total.

Nil-nil is clearly on the cards then now that’s jinxed, and the team news let’s us know that Charlie Adam has recovered from his stitched up ankle to pass muster for Blackpool while Elliot Grandin comes in for Marlon Harewood. On the back of his two goal haul at Leicester (damn him), Simon Cox comes in with Pablo Ibanez for the injured duo of James Morrison and Jonas Olsson for the traveling West Brom. Peter Odemwingie is nowhere to be seen, still…

Blackpool XI: Gilks; Eardley, Evatt, Cathcart, Crainey; Vaughan, Adam, Grandin; Taylor-Fletcher, Varney, Campbell

West Brom XI: Carson; Jara, Tamas, Ibanez, Shorey; Scharner, Mulumbu; Brunt, Cox, Thomas; Fortuné

If you’re looking for some matchday banter then join our floodlight Dugout Discussion as West Brom look to break into the Champions League places (not a typo) and Blackpool look for their first home victory of the season.

Anyone else look at a rivals team and think it looks so much better but u wonder how they afforded it?

Me and rival have the same players apart from:

    Me:
    Foster
    Jara Simpson Gohouri
    Fabregas Nzogbia
    Elmander

    Him:
    Carson
    Baines Elmo Jones
    Adam Brunt

You really need Fabregas to fire or you could be screwed.

Only about Baines. Your defence does need some work, as mine does. You shouldn't double up on Wigan, imo.

Cheers guys, I suppose Fab is the one that I have the money tied up in but that might not be a bad thing, I'm considering Nzogbia to someone cheaper and Elmander to Odemwingie to free up funds to put in my defence (particulary Gohouri)

For those playing the Sportal EPL game.

Improved to 28th & 32rd overall. Top 3 players in the league were Dick Fran Dyke, PDM Allstars & myself.
Biggest risers were Ameobi & Nolan, up 2.6 & 1.9 million respectively. Biggest fallers were Etherington & Yaya Toure who dropped over 1.4 million each.

I had a look at Ars vs WHam highlights last night, and if it was not for Green's keeping and Walcott hitting post(x2!) Fab could have had at least a goal, 2 assists and 3 bpts.

That's I'm keeping him as Captain for next week. He also said after that he's not 100% which is promising and worrying in equal measure.

I'm gonna have to choose Nani over Fabs this week i think. Man Utd vs Wolves & he's involved in (almost) everything. Has to be.

Am I being too balls-out playing 5 defs this week?

    Foster
    Dann - Elmo - Coleman - Jones - Konch
    Nasri - Fab (c) - Malouda - Nani (VDV)
    Drogba (Carroll, Heskey)

Konchesky would be the obvious one to ship, I guess, but for whom? Heskey vs. fulham away? VDV if he shakes off whatever it is he has?

Finally, though, a week I can save up a transfer!

I think Carroll's ability in the air gives him a decent chance of scoring so I'd leave him in. Still I do love the 5 player defence, been trying to see when I could realistically play one myself.

I have basically your back line but own Knight instead of Konchesky. Doing Konchesky>Knight wouldn't be a bad move tbh If you look at Boltons next 5 fixtures they're not too bad TOT eve wlv NEW BPL

True but Konchesky only played in 2 of those games, plus Knight has a goal under his belt & Konchesky has nothing.

It's a thought, but I might wait until next week. I've just got a feeling about Konch against Chelsea. Call me...oh, I don't know...a Liverpool fan? 😉

leaving the transfer to next week will mean I can shift the midfield around and upgrade to Elmander too. I'm thinking keep Nasri in for Newcastle, but then shift him down for Nolan/Parker...

Thinking along similar lines myself -

      Foster
      Dann, Elmo, Coleman, Alex, Tamas
Malouda, Fabs, Nani (c) (Brunt, Bale)
      Drogba, Berbatov (Carroll)

Any transfers that spring to mind? I have 2 free but think it's worth keeping 1 for the 3 GWs in 8 days as injuries are bound to happen:

    Foster Krul
    Dann Mummy Simpson Jara Alcaraz
    Nani Malouda Adam Arteta VDV
    Drogba Carroll Berbatov

    Bank: 4.6

    2 notes:
    - I'm giving Berbatov 1 more game before considering shipping him out.
    - Malouda I think it's best to wait until after the Sunderland match (GW 13) before thinking of transferring him out.

People are sayin that over the 2 games Bale has possibly added about £10 million to his price tag, fair comment, I think he might also have knocked about £20 million of Maicons as well. I can see a Bale waking up to a horses head in his bed in the morning
