The newly release Season Ticker fixture analysis tool has now been refreshed with a couple of bug fixes and the default team ratings have been updated.

Fixture difficulties and cell colours on the free Next Six Ticker are updated, while our Members can utilise new default ratings for the “Overall”, “Attacking” and “Clean Sheet” filters. So, if you’ve run through some early analysis of the fixtures released on Friday, you may want to refer back to your tickers on the frontpage sidebar.

We’ve also released a new video which previews the features of the Members ticker for those looking to get a better view of what this tool can offer – the Members’ Ticker being just one of the benefits of signing up for next season…

The following bug fixes were applied to the Members’ Ticker…

  • Fixed a bug where team ratings were not updating in real-time in ticker in some browsers.
  • Fixed a bug where the export text file failed to reflect edited team ratings
  • Fixed a bug where rollover display of difficulty was returning the wrong value.

We will bringing our Members some in-depth analysis of the fixtures in our first Members only articles of the pre-season later this week.

If you’re yet to sign-up and want to know more on the features included in the Members Ticker, we’ve created a brand new video offering a glimpse of what’s on offer.

This will be the first of several video previews demonstrating the features on offer in our Members area so, if you fancy getting news of these in future, you can now subscribe to our fancy YouTube channel.

Memberships for the 2011/12 Season are now available for a pre-season “Early Bird” price of £12.50.

Existing registered users can upgrade to a Member via this link. Those users yet to register can register as Members via this link. All payments are handled via Paypal.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

This has probably been asked 1000 times, but can we make subs inbetween U21 matches later?

        Yes!

"Your team must be entered by the Matchday deadline to score points for that Matchday. You may make manager substitutions and captain changes during a Matchday. Any transfers made after the deadline will become active at the next deadline."

So I'm safe to put in the Swiss/Czech defenders and replace them with the Spanish at FT? Good 🙂

If you read the rule as it stands, you are allowed to transfer players in/out inbetween Matchday games as per normal in previous rounds.

However, in semi-final stage, one game kicks off at 6pm, the other 9pm. I'm not too sure how much time you will get to do this, if deadline permitting, even allows it.

I'd stick your strongest 11 out as this is a one day Matchday.

Ive been struggling with this concept too. So in simple terms, i make mata captain. He does nothing, so I can quickly make dockal captain at spain FT and Dockal will get captain points for this matchday?

Oh yeah, the Spain match is first, that's fine then.

That should work, yeah. But nobody seems 100% certain that you can make captain changes for the semis.

Meaningless fantasy thinking for morning....what do you think of this front eight?

I think it might be doable in terms of money, but without looking at fixtures, I suppose there might be some benching problems.
And maybe little short on captain material?

    Lampard / N'zogbia / O'hara / Taarabt / Sinclair
    RVP / Suarez / Bent

    I like it, atm anyway.

N'Zogbia probably won't be at Wigan come the start of the new season, there's doubts over Taarbt too and Sinclair might be listed as a forward.

Also we should be getting a LW in (Mata or Downing) but if we don't Suarez might be playing on the left wing, with Andy up top on his own and Gerrard/Raul behind him. Like I said I doubt Kenny will not buy a new winger and I know he didn't sign Suarez to play on the LW but it's just a thought.

I got stung by Nzogbia at the very start of last season so I'd see how the land lies with him first.

O'Hara. Not on enough set plays and WOL just don't score enough.

Taraabt-I'd wait to see which club he ends up at first.

Nice front 3 and very similar to my speculative forward line of Bent, RVP and Ba.

Obviously waiting on taarabt and siclair (mid or forward) and that che/ars fixtures point is very true.
Maybe torres insted of rvp and try to have two freebies in gw4.

EXACTLY same predicament. But I'm playing Dockal over Klose. Even though i already have Rossini (swiss def) playing, i really can't see swiss keeping a CL... and dockal scoring is worth more than Rossini (thus def NOT Klose) keeping a CL.

If you not in the hunt, like me :(, this is the time to gamble on a CZH v SPN final. Otherwise, we're all going to end up with the same team 😕

ok posted this last week but after thoughts again, assuming we have 2 wildcards i think the best time to wildcard is after gwk11

            - 2 week international break
            - teams like utd everton n sunderland begin a nice run of form
            - stoke/blackburn rotation is perfect from gwk12 onwards so theyll take over my defence

            thoughts?

Week 11 is too late imo.

I played it in week 8/9 last year during the second international break.

What if your team needs numerous changes in the first few weeks?

I wouldn't say it is necessarily too late, last year I set my team up to use the wildcard early and I felt it was a mistake. Even if you plan to use it gw11 you could always use it earlier in case of a unforeseen circumstances or a disastrous start.

if u plan well enough at the start then it shouldnt really

i could say the opposite, what if u use it early and then u get hit by injuries during that international break?

Speaking of FPL virginity, I used it after game week 1 and made 1 transfer on top of my free one for that week, because I thought it allowed you only 1 extra transfer :")

Still was happy enough once I worked out how to play the game...and found this place of course.

Never really thought theirs a right or wrong time to use your WC. I didn't use one till the January one and it worked ok for me.

Ive never been a fan of using one for the sake of it, I just prefer to use it when need be I.e. Injuries, suspensions, loss of form, poor fixtures. Never been interested in the money part either.

i just like to plan well in advance and the upturn in fixtures for a number of teams and the end of villas nice run just makes after gwk11 perfect for me with international break too

obviously if i get to that stage and my teams looking good i may keep it but ive always tended to do better when i stick to a plan with this game

i think with the info/knowledge available here its plausible to pick a team that will be good enough for the first 10 weeks

just dont take too many risks ie boselli etc

last year i started with 3 chelsea players as they had nice fixtures and they carried the couple i had that were poor (petrov van damme etc)

Yeah you can get a decent squad from the off, but I mean the guy who won it was in the top 1,000 from GW3 onwards and hardly out of the top 150 from GW4. He wasn't ever playing catchup, and that's when most people decide they need to use their WC.

I do, yeah. Although I may be a little bias. I think if Rangers improve their squad as promised I can see us winning the league next year. I would wait until nearer the seasons start to find out who we have signed, I f we can get Cuellar, Goodwillie & 2 or 3 squad players and keep our spine I think we're goo dfor it.

There was a lot of discussion on here yesterday about it and a few disagreed with me though

So, did anyone get the Olympic tickets they wanted?

The best i got were beach volleyball and tennis on centre court at wimbledon.

Might try and get football tickets as well

That is pretty cool. I remember playin the first game on my PS. 13 at the time! Hooked after that. Think the first was the best.

has to be one of the best openings to a game when you first go into the mansion and the first zombie attack's you.
