Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez have both been passed fit to play in tomorrow’s home game with Norwich City.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s press conference has passed and the resultant news is massive for Fantasy managers, with Rooney surely an overwhelming favourite for the armband as United look to get back to winning ways before the two week international break.
“Wayne and Hernandez are fit for tomorrow. They trained very well yesterday, which is pleasing.”
His recovery from a hamstring strain has been swift, then, missing out on just two games- last week’s game at Stoke and the midweek Champions League clash with Basel- with United failing to win either match.
Rooney sits on 43.6% Fantasy ownership but has been sold in the tens of thousands this week, with many assuming Fergie wouldn’t risk him with tough games against Liverpool and Man City just around the corner.
Those who have sold on will be ruing the decision; Rooney has scored in every game this season, racking up 59 points in just five league games and with the game kicking off at 3pm tomorrow, it’ll be a long and uncomfortable Saturday afternoon for those Fantasy managers without his services.
Those who sat tight will no doubt be smiling in anticipation of a possibly substantial points haul already.
