Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez have both been passed fit to play in tomorrow’s home game with Norwich City.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s press conference has passed and the resultant news is massive for Fantasy managers, with Rooney surely an overwhelming favourite for the armband as United look to get back to winning ways before the two week international break.

“Wayne and Hernandez are fit for tomorrow. They trained very well yesterday, which is pleasing.”

His recovery from a hamstring strain has been swift, then, missing out on just two games- last week’s game at Stoke and the midweek Champions League clash with Basel- with United failing to win either match.

Rooney sits on 43.6% Fantasy ownership but has been sold in the tens of thousands this week, with many assuming Fergie wouldn’t risk him with tough games against Liverpool and Man City just around the corner.

Those who have sold on will be ruing the decision; Rooney has scored in every game this season, racking up 59 points in just five league games and with the game kicking off at 3pm tomorrow, it’ll be a long and uncomfortable Saturday afternoon for those Fantasy managers without his services.

Those who sat tight will no doubt be smiling in anticipation of a possibly substantial points haul already.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Bah! Still, Adebaby and Nani are gonna outscore Rooney and a 6.3m mid 8 times out of 10.

Just one question left - Vorm or Given?

I'm one of those guys - brought in Drogba. Not going to switch back - it wouldn't surprise me if Rooney starts on the bench.

We'll see what the weekend brings...

I took Drogba as well simply because I have Aguero and needed to upgrade a mid to Nani.

I posted here earlier this week that I couldn't see Rooney playing tomorrow...looks like I was wrong so I just came to say sorry!

Mind you, I did once predict the Titanic would never sink

What a week its been..Tevez, Dzeko, Bramble etc etc...and now its De Gea's donut!!

I kept Rooney, as taking a 0.3 loss and using two transfers, versus Alex Ferguson's mind games, was a mismatch IMHO.

But there has to be a scenario where Rooney starts the game, Man U go two or three up, and Rooney is then subbed at half time.

Cue SAF in the press conference that 'Rooney is carrying an injury and looked to be struggling' so that he can tell England not to play him the following week!

prior to the rooney news were you considering bringing in either of those two?

Aguero in is a good move if you planned on shipping Dzeko out. IMO - Rooney's price won't go up too much over the next 2-3 gw's and you'll be able to find cash to bring him in during that time.

I was, especially after CL, that sealed it. Hernandez will stay hurt the way he plays. He doesn´t offer the savy of actually taking shots from over 10 yards out so he is a striker with very few options to worry a defender.

Welbeck man, don´t listen to the, ¨he´s a one week move¨ yappers. Overall he´s a more dynamic player. But in the end I would take a point hit to make the move.

    Given
    Bosingwa W. Brown Enrique
    Young Brunt Jarvis Silva
    Rooney Adebayor Suarez

Subs: Begovic, S. Taylor, Moses, De Laet.

I want some Arsenal coverage so should I go for Roo (yeah, yeah he's back and probably score big BUT)-> v Persie and Young -> Nani? That leaves me with Nani, Silva, v Persie, Adebayor and Suarez up front. What you think about it guys?

Now Rooney's fit, I don't know what transfer to make. Only 0.4m in the bank so I can't upgrade De Laet very easily.

    Vorm (Rudd)
Bosingwa, Ward, Simpson (N Taylor, De Laet)
    Young, Silva, Taarabt, Dyer (Ferguson)
Rooney (c), Aguero (vc), Van Perise

My forwards do look great, but my point total this year is shocking. I could take a 4 point hit to go Taarabt -> Nani, RVP -> Adebayor.

      Hi,

A nice team, I currently have 6 of your squad.

I've had a look and if it was me I would bring in Wes Brown of Sunderland to replace DeLaet (assuming your transfer value for DeLaet is 4.1M that is!).

You could also choose to not do a tranfer this turn and have 2 transfers in week 8!

Save it till next week. International break. Do it early though and make some cash on the players you know will go up in value big. You can always sell any you don't want for a profit before the next game. Cash in. Wish I still had mine TBH but I made a killing last Int. break with my WC.
