Scouting For Writers

You might have noticed that Fantasy Football Scout has continued to grow this season. Hopefully, this will continue into next term and, with ideas and plans forming week on week, I’ve decided it’s time to look to add at least one new member to our team of contributors.

We’re looking for a writer to join Sir Paulos’ editorial team – someone who can commit their time and enthusiasm to the site, take charge of a section and make it there own. Hopefully someone who can grow with us and help us into another exciting season of development.

Ideally we’re looking for someone who…

  • Has a knowledge and passion, not just for Premier League football but for Fantasy Football. You will have opinions and be able to back them up with enthusiasm.
  • Is willing to volunteer and contribute their passion and their time to become an invaluable member of a growing editorial team.
  • Has good, strong writing skills with the ability to produce tight, entertaining editorial – in line with the house style, but with a twist of personality.
  • Is available to contribute opinions throughout the week and at weekends, helping to shape decisions and editorial direction within the Scout team.
  • Is available to contribute articles on a weekly basis and be prepared to take charge of an established section of the site, making it their own and working in collaboration with the team to grow it further.

If you feel you’d like to put yourself forward for this role, please send a short summary of yourself, along with a sample of your writing to writers@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

If you don’t have any samples of writing available, please supply a Watchlist article – of a player of your choice, written to our template, an example of which can be found here.

This process is typically lengthy and it’s likely that Sir Paulos and I will be looking at applications from now right through until the end of January. Please be patient with us, we will try to get back to applicants as soon as possible and we will keep you up to date with the process via the site as we go.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Is this a good team: I can get it for -8 or WC:

    I already did Osman>Sess

and plan on Baines + Sturr > Aguero + Senderos : just not sure if now or next week?

    Jag - Senderos - Gabbidon - Simpson - BAE

    Nani - Silva - Allen - Bale - Sess

    Ade - RVP - Aguero

I wouldn't be looking at taking an 8 point hit during the wildcard myself, but up to you.

I guess I just liked the idea of Aguero upfront. Doesn't look like he will rise soon, so will wait.

      Thanks

    Sorry, lost on last page.

I’m happy with my team for now, but the side I want to WC to leaves me with 0.0 in the bank; is that sufficient justification to do it now, do you think?

Currently have no City coverage which is turning me towards WC with thier not being an easy way to get Silva or Aguerro in. plus i need to move on 2 or 3.

I'm contemplating Sorensen instead of Krul to partner Vorm.

      What do you think?

    What do you think to,
    Sturridge > Yak?

    Krul (Vorm)
    BAE Jones Simpson Enrique
    Valencia(c) Bale(vc) Nani
    Adebayor RVP Sturridge

    Subs: Osman Brown Walters

Sturridge has SUNDERLAND, Norwich, Swansea for his next 3.

We know how improved Sunderland have become and Swansea are tight at the back - they don't concede many at home.

Front 3 for planned WC (ready for GW24 onwards) is RVP, Aguero, A.Nother

The guys who run the site have pretty decent teams though don't they? Plus that's only 3 gameweeks

I put it to you that your judging us there on some of the most unpredictable gameweeks of the season in which we saw Chelsea, United, City and Arsenal all lose, lots of rest and rotation and Sunderland suddenly emerge as a superpower.

Yes the picks have been off form but it's been a tough few gameweeks. Things will level out and the Picks will get back on song.

    RM WC?

    Friedel Vorm

    Skrtel, Kompany, Terry, Simpson, Evans

    Silva, Dempsey, Bale, Sess, Moses

    Adebayor, Aguero, Yakubu

I was also thinking about going Reina for GK and if I did that, BAE for skrtel.

First ever post. Had a bad season so far. But hoping the WC will come to the rescue.

Opinions if you would be so kind.

Lindegaard (Vorm) - auto sub if Lind doesn't play. Clean sheet if he does 🙂
Enrique, Evans, BAE, Williams, Naylor - rotate according to Swans home or away.
Silva, Nani, Bale, Sess, Walters - play them each week
RVP, Ade, Morrison - play Morrison as the need arises.

    $1m left over.

Stoke's home fixtures look pretty tasty for the remainder of the season.. thought I was done with Walters but could well be WC'ing him back in.
