Sky Fantasy Football Arrives At The Scout
Filed under: Fantasy Football Games, Fantasy Football Scout Leagues - Posted by: Paul
We’re delighted to announce that the Sky Fantasy game will be our second supported game this season, with an official Fantasy Football Scout League now open, complete with a rather nice prize for the winner.
The Scout League will go hand in hand with an array of coverage of the Sky Fantasy game for the upcoming season. You may have missed Sky’s early launch last week: the headlines are, the game is free to play and there’s £25,000 for the overall winner.
Over the season, we’ll be producing a weekly focus on the movers and shakers within the Scout League, giving airtime to those at the top of the leaderboard and the standout performers in any given Gameweek.
Prior to the big kick-off, we’ll also delve into the rule set and roll out our analysis of player picks over the next few weeks before the season gets underway on Saturday August 18.
As far as prizes go, the overall Scout League winner will pick up a Samsung Blu Ray home cinema system worth up to £600 – not to be sniffed at. We’re also hoping to get a monthly prize sorted, too; stay tuned for more on that.
For now, though, why not join myself and Mark on the ladder – the league is “FFScout” and the Pin is 8004519. We’ll add details for both in the middle column of the homepage. Click here to get involved.

I seem to be the only one on here not convinced by Aguero for the start. With such uncertainty around their other strikers (Tevez & Dzeko esp.) and with the prospect of RVP going there I will want to see how things pan out for them upfront first. Rooney I am with you on, but my main City investment for the start will be Silva.

Canadian Football says:
I love a good gamble!!!
It would be great if Paddy Power or a reputable bookmaker organized an FPL leauge whereby they collect the entry fee and take 10% of it as their fee. If they charged $100 (through an on line account)and had 250 entrants, there would be $22,500 up for grabs. They could have weekly prizes for the highest GW score and even an half season prize.
Does anyone know whether or not they offer (or anyone else offer such a league?

Prize Rules based on the above # of entrants
1. $100 weekly prize for the Top Score in the game week. (get ur money back if you win aGW)
2. $2,250 for the highest halfway season score
3. 50% of remaining pot to the overall winner ($8225)
4. 20% to the overall runner up ($4935)
5. 15 % to 3rd place $3290
6. 10% to 4th ($1645)

Great idea though I wouldn’t dream of putting money into the online FF £ leagues.
But a reputable base like FFScout. My money would be in faster than a rat up a drainpipe (only clean phrase I could think of).

Ok, so couple of questions about Sky.
Is the gameweek the same as FPL….I ask this with the Chelsea and Reading double in mind…is it worth captaining Torres/Hazard/Terry etc?

big oak says:
well written however based on your introduction, i was expecting much more
what is mentioned in this article can be written by any regular manager on this blog
it’s a bit of stating the obvious

applebonkers says:
ok here’s some average passes per game of midfielders last season with the 60+ pass 2 bonus points in mind: (this is from my list of the top 50 key pass makers so there might be some total pass makers missed out if they didn’t do too well on key passes).
60 or over:
modric 70.4, murphy 60.0, arteta 74.3, yaya toure 75.6, allen 60.5, song 66.1
under 60:
silva 56.1, mata 43.7, bale 40.2, nasri 53.1, VDV 49.1, nani 36.2, taarabt 37.4, j.morrison 39.4, valencia 44.7, larsson 30.7, ramsey 56.6, lampard 51.2, dempsey 35.3, cabaye 42.6, brunt 37.6, sigurdsson 37.2, adam 49, rosicky 45.5, fox (norwich) 52, meireles 44.5,

Scroobius Mac says:
Arteta at 6.2, possibly with pens, should be great value.

Frazek says:
But these stats will be from last season… ergo, no Jacky boy. Not that his return would necessarily affect Arteta, although I suppose it could see the Spaniard pushed forward?
Hmm.

applebonkers says:
cabaye on just 42.6 surprised me

isacki says:
Was going to say this, what does he do mainly then? I thought he was the “passer” in the midfield three.
July 11 at 2:33 pm
China Mag says:
I think the bizarrely he was the top tackler in the league!! Those passing stats surprise me too. Thought it would be more. He costs more than 8m anyway, so way too expensive!
July 11 at 2:37 pm
applebonkers says:
i think it shows these passing stats suit 1 man strike forces. newcastle usually had 2 and i bet modric’s passes took a bashing when it was defoe and adebayor up front as opposed to adebayor and vdv. cabaye does well for a middle 2
July 11 at 2:22 pm
isacki says:
Very nice. Was already looking at Allen and Arteta.
Had Tiote in my team earlier for tackle points. Plausible?
July 11 at 2:35 pm
applebonkers says:
only defensive stats i kept were blocks for defenders, they also show tackle stats with guys like figueroa and cuellar standing out but no one really averages 4+ tackles per game.
common sense imo would be pick holding mids and full backs for tackles, whilst in FPL blocks seem the key thing for bonus so centre backs.
whoscored might have tackle stats for mids, only issue is i’m not sure they are tackles won, simply tackles contested.

Back on the horse ..¦. says:
Yeah, if the FPL entrance fee was even just a £1 then there would be a prize pot of over £2m. Obv a lot wouldn’t enter and all the 2-teamers would reduce but it could still be a pot of around £1m!
