Aguero Struck By Knee Injury

Filed under: Injury News - Posted by: Mark

Having escaped any major injury concerns from Saturday’s action, Sunday has brought us a major worry with Sergio Aguero hobbling from the field after just 9 minutes of the clash with Southampton. While he walked from the pitch with assistance, seconds later he was stretchered from the sidelines.

The Argentine striker, well backed by Fantasy managers going into the Gameweek, appeared to twist his knee in a challenge with Nathaniel Clyne.

Aguero is currently owned by 32% of Fantasy Premier League managers, with 35% ownership in the Sky Sports game.

The latest from the City medical staff was that they were described as “cautiously optimistic” on the prognosis of Aguero’s injury. According to Sky Sports’ reports, the striker will undergo a scan at the club once the injury has settled when a more conclusive opinion of the problem can be gained.

Roberto Mancini confirmed post-match that his striker would undergo further scans with a full prognosis likely within 48-hours.

“I am worried about Sergio because anything around the knee is dangerous and this injury was so strange. We will have to wait, but we are not sure exactly what the problem is at this point.”

I didn’t get to see the QPR game yesterday.

Was Green horrible between the sticks or was it down to just poor defense?

using a wildcard is not good idea, wait and be patient, i can see walker, scz, siggy, nzog, torres, roonpig and podolski very good this season
