Saturday Surgery – Gameweek 6

Filed under: Matchday Surgery - Posted by: Mark

We are just over an hour away from another Fantasy deadline, swiftly followed by our first delicious slice of weekend action as Arsenal take on Chelsea in the early kick-off. We’ll cover that with our Dugout Discussion later but, for now, we’ve opened up the Surgery Chatroom to capture your views and opinions as you carry out last minute tinkering.

Don’t forget, to soak up all our key coverage from the site over the past seven days you can direct your eyes at Andy’s Catch-Up article published earlier this morning.

The Pre-Match Preamble is on its way shortly…

  1. Anyone know why Ba is getting more goals than Pappis, I thought Cisse was through the middle with Ba out wide?

    1. Ba is better

  2. NEW POST!

  3. Midfield + Forward pairing of....

    Walters and Ba

    OR

    Sterling and Aguero.....???

    1. Sterling and Aguero by FAR

    2. Sterling + Kun

      1. Sorted.

  4. a) Two to play from Clark, Cuellar, Hughes and Nelsen?
    b) One to play from Dyer, Maloney and Lambert?

Please bear in mind that I have Baines (at home to Southampton), Begovic (at home to Swansea) and Cuellar (at home to Wigan) which may affect my attacking / defensive returns..

    1. Clark and Cuellar
Maloney for differential......Lambert could score too

      1. Thanks, I'll bench Nelsen, Dyer and Hughes then, in that order.

        Sorted.

  5. start
    1.foster or ruddy
    2.demel or davies

    1. 1. Foster
      2. Demel

  6. Ba or Baines as captain????

    1. Got to be Baines - 70% chance of a clean sheet, 1 assist, 2-3 bps: 10-11 points.

Ba, probably 1 goal, so around 6 for me.

  7. Play Hangleland over Demel?

  8. instead of asking who top captain, which i'm sure has been done 5 billlion times already, how about this. What are your predictions for players' scores this GW? Here's my 2 cents...

    Baines - about 8
    Fellaini - about 9
    Cazorla - about 7
    RVP - 9?
    Fletcher - 13ish
    Ba - 13ish
    Tevez - 1-5

    1. So you think Fletcher and Ba are both going to get 2 goals each. Wigan are not pushovers.... And Reading are also no pushovers. I think your predictions have beem slightly exaggerated.

      1. u are right reading are not pushovers ;)

      2. only predictions but yeah, i can see each of them getting 2 each. still capping RVP though

      3. more confident that Fletcher will get a brace than Ba today though. as someone below said, wigan have coneded 8 in the last 3, fletcher has scored in every game and sunderland will be going all out for their first win of the season so i see them creating more chances than has been the case lately too

    2. Baines – 10
      Fellaini – 6
      Cazorla – 6
      RVP – 5
      Fletcher – 6
      Ba – 6
      Tevez – 1

    3. Baines - 18 :)

  9. Fellani or Fletcher whom to choose captain?

    1. I'd go Fellaini

  10. Who to captain, van Persie or Baines?

    1. Baines

    2. RVP could easily explode, but i think Baines is the safer, more consistent choice.

      Baines, just

      1. Baines safer choice than RVP.... LOL

  11. fletcher or fellani for captain?

    1. I'd go Fellaini.

      1. tough one - wigan have conceded 8 in there last 3 games - and fletcher has scored in every game so far..

I'd go with fletcher - but you could flip a coin

        1. probably end up with baines or rvp now you have said that

  12. At this rate, I'll have no Chelsea players for NOR, or going forward after that. Too risky?

    1. Ivan hattrick :)

  13. play guthrie or noble ? guthrie i would say more likely from open play but west ham are due a penalty so maybe noble ?

    1. guthrie, he is playing against old club, and if cabaye is out i think he will do even better (i am bias of course)

  14. Play Michu or Yaya?

    1. This week.. Yaya.

Stoke a tough to break down at home. I've benched Michu myself.

  15. FELLAINI OR RVP C??

    1. i'm a coward so i went for rvp

    2. i have gone fellaini but am thinking baines

I got Baines in this week snowman :)

good scores for us both last week bud :)

        1. Alright Joe mate, yeah well done last week, had to take a hit this week however and get rid of berbatov without him even kicking a ball!

Who you captaining this week? Dilemma of baines, fellaini, rvp or fletcher for me.

          All the best

          1. Got the same dilemma.

            Here is my reasoning

Southampton most heavily conceding side in prem. 15 goals conceded and 9 of those in 2 games away from home.

Coming up against a First choice team away from home who are in very good form.

            1. Yeah i agree, i always like a risk take so am thinking fellani but baines might just keep a cleanie and score a pen/assist!

Ive gone for RVP mate. Bit of a stinker with The Berb. I might hang on to him, will watch news carefully..

Good luck for gameweek Pal :)

            1. cheers and you!

Ba or Aguero for long term?

    1. depends how they both start to play, but i have a sneeking suspicion that Ba could be about to go mental again so I'd say Ba til xmas but we'll see

        ok

  17. Start Guthrie or progbenyak for reading cover???

    1. pog

  18. Budget aside - which TWO strikers would you have up front??

    Get your votes in now!

      Berbatov but injuried
      Tevez changed to Kun
Kun and Graham up front would be my choice

Struggling between if i should buy Kun or Ba!
