FFS Paddy Power Cup – Semi-Final Draw

We’re down to the last four now in the Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII now. The next round will take place over Gameweek 22 and will see David Bevan’s “ange1range1” take on Sir Alex Jnr’s “Milehigh” – the former is the clear underdog going into this one; although he’s nestled inside the top 7,000, David’s opponent has moved ominously into 34th place overall after yesterday’s seven fixtures.

Site regular “WildRover” is the early favourite heading into the second semi-final. He has moved up to 439th in the overall rankings ahead of tonight’s three remaining Gameweek 21 fixtures, while his opponent, Mr KK, is just inside the 30,000 mark. With winter wildcards available, however, the form book could easily be turned on its head as our quartet plot for silverware…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Ba 5.8 PPG

    Berba 5.1 PPG

Ruiz is back, Fulham will surely get a midfielder in this window as they lack a creative hub in there.

Might just go RvP, Berba and Pog on the wc.

People saying Roman will stick with Torres seem to be missing a few things:

    1. He is a ruthless Russian
    2. He has history....where to start....players and managers
    3. Please don't give me the Shevchenko line.....he got binned as well...

Torres will start to disappear.....I think

I was just thinking if Ba moved to Chelsea, he will surly play most league matches. He can't play in the Europa League or League Cup as he would be cup tied, so it would make sanse that Ba plays in the PL.

With the news that Ba is likely heading to rotation, I have had to re-jig my WC team.

Can i get your opinion on this:

    Beg, Bunn,
    Cuellar, Luiz, Skrtel, Jones, Demel
    Walcott, Bale, Michu, Fellaini, Karacan
    RVP, Berbs, Suarez

i think ba will do well for chelsea. recently teams have been pressing them high up the pitch which means having to play the long ball, which torres is average at best at. this is where ba will benefit chelsea by winning aerial battles which will help chelsea with more attacking opportunities

fpl wise i am atill sitting on the fence. going 4-4-2 mata could then lose attacking potential and ba could be the main prospect for chelsea coverage ,maybe even allowing for the 5 template 5 mid to become a 4 again

he'll make an improvement to liverpool's attack, which should be good for suarez. more opportunities, more goals. the problem is sturridge is very selfish, might not pass to suarez too much. i think suarez is going to get mega angry with sturridge shooting all his good work into the stands.

and if he plays with 442 it means that Mata will be on the wings whereas he's been waaay effective behind the striker this season.
I wouldn't do that if I were Rafa.

I've finally got my team pretty much exactly how I want it, so I'm a bit annoyed that the WC has come along now - fearing I'll do more damage to my team than good. Also, I thought 105.9 was quite a good team value, but I can't afford some of the teams people are posting on here! Certainly struggling to accommodate any defenders over 5.0 without sacrificing the big hitting midfield.

It's a decent team value for 'serious' players. Overall team value isn't as important as what your overall sell-on value of the team is. I've done well this season to move on players I've got a lot of increases on, when they are out of form or injured, so as to not have too many players with big value drops, if I were to sell them on. The only exception for me this season is Begs, Michu and RVP who I've had for a while. My overall team value is 109.3 and my team sell-on value is over 106. Having an extra 6M of actual funds lets you get in a few more heavier hitters. I've also done better this season in not taking too many hits to maintain team value. Team value is important but points should come first.
