Saturday Dugout Discussion

Filed under: Dugout Discussion - Posted by: Mark

With just four Premier League matches to take in, this is a muted Saturday afternoon. However, with Gameweek totals affected by blanks and points hits, today’s events at Loftus Road, Carrow Road, the Hawthorns and at the Madjeski, are undoubtedly vital to our fortunes.

Our Dugout Discussion Chatroom is now open for business, ready to soak up reaction as we hopefully trundle towards respectability in what is no ordinary Saturday afternoon.

Thankfully, the team news hands us few surprises, despite the best efforts of Swansea’s twitter service who decided to miss Michu out of their lineup at West Brom, only to correct themselves minutes later: Michu starts. Elsewhere, there’s little of note, except perhaps the omission of both Nathaniel Clyne and Jason Puncheon from the Saints lineup by Mauricio Pochettino for their trip to Norwich – the pair are on the bench. Paul Lambert has also dealt some Fantasy managers a blow, deciding to drop Charles N’Zogbia to the bench for their crucial trip to Reading. Bobby Zamora returns to boost QPR’s hopes at home to Sunderland, Kei Kamara earns a first start for Norwich, while Romelu Lukaku and Chris Brunt make a return to the Baggies lineup as expected.

Glad to see Guthrie get 10 minutes today. I can see him being an important player in Reading’s final run of games and he surely has to start if they have any chance of staying up.
