I admit that I do have a certain liking towards vigilante movies, but The Dark Knight was crazy good. I think you are biased the other way round - that you don't like vigilante movies at all, that's why this didn't get much of a chance.
It's really hard for a movie like The Dark Knight, to attain such a high rating everywhere, it it wasn't really good.

I have seen two of the three movies you mentioned are great, but all time favorites, nah! It's like great movies -12 angry men, city of god, the secret in their eyes, the lives of others? Great movies, I'd recommend to all, but all time top 3, nope!Open Controls-
