These are hazardous times. Shopping in midfield is a thankless task, with little value and consistency on offer, aside from a pair of dominant forces who threaten to break the season, along with the hearts and minds of those too stubborn to jump on board their seemingly relentless bandwagons.

In this latest episode of the podcast, I lay the blame for my inept season squarely at the feet of my failing midfield and my reluctance to give Aaron Ramsey the time of day. Oh, how I crave those predictable days of the ever-reliable “Power Five”.

Granville does his best to ensure that my moans fall on sympathetic ears, although his sniggering gives him away on more than one occasion. In between giggles, my co-host joins me to dissect the week’s transfer activity, preview the weekend’s fixtures and mastermind another mediocre Gameweek for the ScoutCast lineup.

Tread where others fear to tread via this link or laugh in the face of danger via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Last season during the reign of Walcott Mata Michu Fellaini, we'd have barely noticed a 2nd choice midfielder score in the Europa League

Last time Lennon started in the Europa league he also played in the league four days later. He didn't do very much. In all seriousness Lamela has got to have a decent chance of starting in the league after a goal and assist.

AVB has to start him some time. In my opinion no better time than after goal and assist. His confidence will be good at least.

Surely his fitness is not so bad he can't play 2 games in 4 days?

              rooney > aguro
              sturridge> suarez
              Michu > 5.5m mid (brady/almafatino/januzaj/morrison)

              -4

              it is long term move.

RMT for this GW please guys?

    Boruc

    Baines / Dawson / Clyne / Terry

    Januzaj, Townsend, Ozil

    Lukaku / Aguero / Suarez (C)

    Subs: Mignolet, Yanga-Mbiwa, Sessegnon, Brady

1 FT... Thinking of doing Ozil --> Oscar/Hazard?

it's Oscar or Silva for me, in GW13 most likely. Theo won't be 100% for GW12 and Saints will not be an easy game

That's what I was thinking but seems hard to get rid of Haz (or Oscar in your case) in GW13 with a home game. Yes Southampton are solid but Chelsea are quality at home.

Mark lamenting in the podcast about the surety of last seasons power 5.

I thought I'd come up with a midfield this week who are getting interest that they would not normally receive if we had some clear cut options.

Looking for a list of 5 midfielders this week either unproven this season or not nailed on.

    Here is my punters 5.

    Nasri Coutinho Arnautovich Lamela Schurrle

I guess people will expect him to start and will take a punt on him. Might be a good shout, who knows. Many have already had a go with Townsend, Eriksen and Paulinho without much success.

          A Lamela-wagon is brewing.

Spurs like some of their players to settle, learn the language etc (they did this with Lloris when he had a wobbly start)

£30m+...you think he'll start getting opportunities

    what you think this move

    rooney > aguro
    sturridge> suarez
    Michu > 5.5m mid (brady/almafatino/januzaj/morrison)

    -4

    it is long term move.

    GW 14 Lukaku > Rooney

Lukaku fixture turn bad, rooney has 2 home game

        lukaku has palace, liverpool stoke.

Get rooney back for 2 home game v newcastle and everton.

Maybe risk of get rid of sturridge too is problem but has to be sometime?
