Yes, we know this week’s battle for the armband is done and dusted. With 86% of the votes cast, Luis Suarez is the undisputable favourite as Liverpool prepare for the visit of Cardiff on Saturday. The Uruguayan is hunting his fifth successive double-figure haul at Anfield and it’ll be a brave, or perhaps desperate, Fantasy manager who goes against the grain. Once again, our midweek regular for members sifts through the statistics to ascertain whether there really is anyone else worth considering:

So, final question time. Rooney + Suarez and Lukaku/Negredo?

I transferred Rooney out for a hit before the CPL game. He was red flagged on Friday night only to miraculously recover Saturday morning and start getting 9 points.

Capital One Cup Final could be Man Utd v Man City, meaning only one postponement for GW28, because they play each other that week.

I might just close my eyes and just let things play out. Not taking a hit in this week could help shunt you up the ranks.
Here's my current mash together of players:
Pantilimon
Coleman - Bardsley - Gabbidon/Shaw
Hazard - Silva - Michu - Ramsey
Rooney - Berbatov - Suárez (c)
Lewis - Redmond - Gabbidon/Shaw - Chester
+£4.9m!!! 0ft
Redmond's a decent back-up, right?Open Controls-
Yes he is good back up but I think Rooney will play anyway
Open Controls -
Yes, yes he is.
Good team. Rooney will start so don't worry about that. Michu - surely upgradable to Theo soon though?Open Controls -
GB get Lukaka for Rooney if he's out injured rest is ok. Is mine good?
Howard
Terry, GJ Coleman
Ramsey, Silva, Hazard Cabaye
Suarez(C), Lukaka, Negredo
Subs: Davis, Chico, JWP and FayeOpen Controls-
I'd have about £20m left in the bank though. I bought Roon early so don't want to lose him.
Yep, your team looks great. No more hits!Open Controls

I have little Michu faith. But not sure getting Wally against Chelsea is worth a hit.

What's the score with Roonpig?

I've just seen Rooney filling up his Range Rover at a petrol station in Wilmslow, he seemed perfectly fine to me.

To upgrade Brady and beef up the mids.
Walcott, Silva, or Nasri?
Which for this GW and going forward?Open Controls-
Walcott
Open Controls -
Wally
Open Controls -
theo
Open Controls -
Walcott, Silva has 4 yellows and Nasri is a bit annoying to own.
Also I think Ozil will be delighted to have someone making the runs Wally does and will be looking to pick him out in a similar way that he has been with Ramsey.Open Controls-
Nice reasoning Podge.
Open Controls -
a lot more responsibility will fall on Silva's shoulders with Kun out. don't let 4 YCs scare you, Silva can easily just be told not to challenge anyone..only 3 games to wait out..
Open Controls-
Hmmm. Thank you all.
Open Controls -
True but surely without their best player their goals will dry up a bit, and with all the hits people are taking it's just too much of a risk at the minute.
Open Controls-
BUT with Kompany and Silva back, the organization and structure of the team is still solid and in tact, just swap out the strikers..also Negredo is clearly more than capable (all those w/ w/o Aguero stats are invalid for the games that Silva was injured)
Open Controls-
But who will be right back with Zab and Richards injured and will the mids be told to be extra protective ?

Wazza should take a leaf out of kuns book and do some twitter updates to keep us informed.
Open Controls -
Tattoo the armband on Suarez them stats are scary!
Open Controls-
Yep, nice run down earlier on the highest ever FPL scorers and Suarez looks like being the 1st 300 point player even with a 40% or so drop in points from now on.
Open Controls-
Not if he moves to Madrid in Jan!

We all learnt that lesson this week I think

let's say there are zero injuries this weekend...anything pressing or should I just try and save a FT?
Howard - Lewis
Coleman - Mert - Clyne - Burner - Chester
Hazard - Walcott - Silva - Ramsey - Ravel
Suarez - Lukaku - Negredo
I'd like to get back in the 2 FT club 🙂Open Controls-

What a nice team you have there.
Open Controls-
took long enough, have taken -60 in hits this season (though 52 of those were in the first 13 GWs and 8 were yesterday)
Open Controls-
Well you need to chill out if you've taken -60! That's too much!
Open Controls-
agreed! I've since calmed down:

You seem surprised? All injured players are flagged
Open Controls-
I just didn't believe he was actually injured. Thought it was just a "Moyes doesn't want to start him but also doesn't want to disrespect Stoke"
Open Controls-
oh fair enough. nah it does seem a genuine injury, just seen it's confirmed by united now. I think he would've played tbh, as he needs games to stay sharp e.t.c.
Open Controls-
I agree with the last statement as he's always on a fitness tight-rope, but being confirmed by United means little, not as if they're going to contradict their manager right?
'an injury' is beautifully subjective. I could get a stud to the shin and be in a bit of pain and technically claim an injury, even if it's an hour long one 😆Open Controls

Injuries, suspensions, so called big hitters failing, and budget options lighting it up, this is why I play fantasy football, where would the fun be in having a template 11 for the entire season. I love it when things get mixed up, such good fun! Don't be taking things too seriously lads, its just a game after all 🙂
Open Controls-
😯 Game? You call this A GAME????
This is War.Open Controls -
There are some here that take it very seriously
Open Controls -

I find it loads of fun deciding on whether a player is gonna be fit or not, his chances of starting, who his best replacements are, who is gonna fade away in the next few games, and who is gonna come good. I love all those decisions, gives watching football another dimension for me.
I also like seeing what other people do too, and particularly looking at what all the top FPL managers they do, and how their decisions keep them ahead of the game. I love it!Open Controls

The NTFM if only team:
GK: Courtois (if only Chelsea didn't loan every good young player they had)
Defense: Chiriches (if only Tottenham could keep a CS) Baines* (If only he wasn't so damn expensive each year) Azpilicueta (if Only Chelsea resembled Chelsea at the back)
Midfield: Ramsey (If only everyone and their dog didn't own him) Eriksen (If only he were given playing time) Gnabry (if only he didn't play for Arsenal) Oscar (If only he was Eden Hazard) Michu (if only he was the Michu of last year)
Forwards: Dzeko (if only Pelligrini would play the guy) Lukaku (if only his play was a good as his team's fixtures/if only he was playing at the Bridge)
Courtois
Baines Chriches Azpilucueta
Gnabry Ramsey Erisken Michu Oscar
