The Weekend Team News

Tom Huddlestone and Andrew Robertson are doubtful as Hull head to Anfield. James McArthur emerges as a doubt for Crystal Palace’s clash against West Brom, who look set to welcome back Ben Foster. Gus Poyet pledges to stick by Vito Mannone as Arsenal pay visit. Stoke suffer an injury blow to Glenn Whelan, while the Hammers are boosted by the returns of Cheikhou Kouyate and James Tomkins.

Neil Warnock has confirmed that James McArthur and Scott Dann are both doubts ahead of the Baggies clash. Dann missed the defeat to Chelsea with a knee injury, while James McArthur could also miss out this weekend after coming off against the Blues with a hip problem.

West Brom are boosted ahead of the visit of Palace by the return of Ben Foster. The keeper missed the Monday night stalemate with Man United due to a calf complaint but has since returned to training. Meanwhile, Jonas Olsson and Silvestre Varela are sidelined for the Baggies.

Gus Poyet has kept faith with Vito Mannone ahead of the visit of Arsenal, despite the heavy defeat inflicted by Southampton last week. Poyet also reveals that changes will be minimal, with “about 75%” of the side that started against the Saints retaining their places. Elsewhere, the Black Cats have announced the signing of Frenchman Anthony Reveillere, with the full-back set to go straight into the squad against Arsenal subject to international clearance.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes has revealed that Glenn Whelan will be sidelined for up to six weeks with a fractured leg. Meanwhile, Phil Bardsley is Stoke’s only injury concern after sustaining a back problem in last week’s clash with Swansea. Hughes remains hopeful the full-back will train later and be in contention to face Southampton.

Arsene Wenger has admitted Laurent Koscielny remains unavailable for Arsenal this weekend and is hoping to have his compatriot back after the next international break. The Gunners boss also confirmed he’s “not sure” over Theo Walcott’s involvement, though went on to say the winger will “certainly” be in the squad next week.

Cheikhou Kouyate and James Tomkins are back in the squad for West Ham’s meeting with Man City, confirms Sam Allardyce.

Steve Bruce has revealed both Tom Huddlestone and Andrew Robertson are “big doubts” for Hull’s trip to Liverpool. With Nikica Jelavic, Steve Harper and Michael Dawson ruled out in midweek, the Tigers boss concedes he may have to make “four or five changes” to the side that drew at Arsenal last weekend.
