Wenger on Alexis "He scored but I think he didn't have the best games today."

Wenger on Flamini " I think he had a decent game"

But Costa has fitness and discipline issues. Haz on pens. I'd back Hazard to outscore him come the end of the season.

I'm on he money to do Pelle-> Costa but want to wait as long as possible before I pull the trigger

Costa needs another 31000 transfers in before he rises according to fplstatistics.
Last 4 hours he got 3800 transfers in, at this rate I can hold off the transfer at least another week am I right ?

Thoughts on this team for after the break :
    ___________Bego
    __Chambers Hutton Baines
    Downing Hazard Di Maria Sanchez
    ____Berahino Costa Aguero
    ________________________________
    Mccarthy Boyd Yun Moore
Ranked 288 but will be taking a -8
    Bego will turn to Fabianski
Berahino might keep but Austin /Sakho in shadows
    Chambers fine until Jan wilcard
The cheap 3 Def is a worry glad Hutton will be fit
    Moore> Duff when possible
Will own every captain choice in the game
Without doubt a red arrow after taking a -8 but will leave me in a great condition for weeks after gw12

For those considering which cheap forward to get for Welbeck (ie. Austin, Sakho, Kane, Ayoze, etc), here's my take on it:

1st rule of FPL: Only transfer in players who are sure to play.

With that in mind, cheap players like Ayoze, Kane, Bojan, Zamora, Eto'o, etc are immediately ruled out.

In the sub-6.0 bracket, I am confident in saying that he's not another Ulloa "flash in the pan" because of two things:
    1. Supporting case: Vargas, Zamora, and the rest of the team are built to support him, and actually have proven talent (in contrast to some of Leicester players imo).
    2. I think stats over 10 games (and last season) show that Austin isn't a short-term wonder.

That said, there are only two strikers I like, Sakho and Austin, and here is my analysis on them: http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2014/11/08/the-scoreboard-gameweek-11-saturday/?hc_page=13#hc_comment_8790574 Remember that Austin is also on penalty's, which I forgot to mention.

2nd rule of FPL: Treat every transfer like a hit.

With this rule in mind, do I think Austin will outscore Welbeck (the player I'm transferring out for Austin), and would it be worth a hit? Austin's fixtures are much better, and Welbeck could lose his place to Sanchez/Walcott/Giroud after the break, so this move is definitely worth a hit.

So there you have it. Tonight I'm doing Welbeck>Austin. Unless someone can convince me otherwise?

Does that first rule always apply though? If u have a solid squad, a risk or 2 can pay off handsomely

      1. rickardinho
        • 11 Years
        11 years, 8 months ago

I'm willing to bend that rule, as I did when I brought in Oscar who is usually benched for the tougher games. Players like those i mentioned are much more risky though, so not really worth the risk

    Forster Heaton
    Clyne Baines Chambers Naylor Hutton
    Boyd Fabregas ADM Sanchez Siggy
    Aguero Pelle Sakho

What would you do with this lot?

I have almost an identical team to you (only different keepers) so have the exact same problem.

One thing worth considering is if ADM does well against Arsenal, it's going to be a nightmare not owning him with his next two home fixtures. There isn't really that problem with Fabregas because he isn't as explosive, plus it would make bringing Hazard later on easier. On the other hand ADM is dropping fast ....
