With the third international break of the season upon us, we’re afforded time to assess the leader contenders in the Fantasy Football Scout leagues across in a variety of games. With leagues in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League, Sky Sports and the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) Champions League game, there’s plenty to catch up on.

Fantasy Premier League

Adam Stuckert sits atop the Scout League with a total of 758 points after the first 11 Gameweeks. Adam – who notched 72 points in the previous round of fixtures – had the likes of Tim Krul, Nathaniel Clyne, Leighton Baines, Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero and captain Graziano Pelle to thank for steering him to number one in the overall standings.

Vasil Raykov is just seven points behind in second spot, or third overall. He also has the likes of Baines, Clyne, Sanchez, Pelle and Aguero on board, with Brad Guzan, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Nacer Chadli and Diego Costa amongst his starters as he racked up 89 points last time around despite, like Adam, handing the armband to Pelle. Intriguingly, Vasil is the only one of our top five to have played his wildcard at this stage.

In third spot sits Matthew Furlong, on the back of a 92-point Gameweek 11. His decision to captain Aguero paid off handsomely, with the usual suspects such as Baines, Clyne, Sanchez, Sigurdsson, Chadli and Costa all amongst the points last time around.

Matthew sits just one point ahead of both Petter Gullestad and Mariusz Fyrstenberg. Petter registered 79 points in Gameweek 11, with his decision to captain Aguero reaping rewards, whilst he also had the likes of Baines, Sigurdsson and Sanchez as part of his starting XI. Another one to hand the armband to Aguero, Mariusz delivered 82 points – he’ll be hoping his decision to retain United’s Angel di Maria will prove a differential amongst our top five.

Thanks to those five managers, we’re currently retaining our spot at the top of the League of Leagues. You can join our classic league using the code 11856-4526.

Hitesh Gulati is a new entry at number one in the Scout Members league, which sits fifth in the league of leagues. He sits fifth in the overall standings, despite deciding to ignore the consistent Leighton Baines to this point, with 749 points accrued. Peter Chesley earns second spot with a total of 731 points, just edging Matt Summers into third by a single point.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

Lawrence White is the leader of our UFPL Scout league, after a 99-point haul in Gameweek 11 took his total to 884 for the season – second overall. Joe Hanmer is in second spot with his total of 869 points placing him 13th in the world, whilst Geoff Shotter is 13 points further behind in third spot. To join our UFPL league, use the code 524-87.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Jason Callender leads the way in the Scout league with a total of 826 points – that’s enough for third place in the overall standings and earns him a 38-point lead over our second place manager, Ryan Hutton. Martin Smith takes third spot after Gameweek 13 of the Sky Sports offering, with a total of 782 points helping to 32nd spot overall. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join up, the league name is FFScout and the code is 8009000.

Champions League

Our official Champions League game this season is the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) offering – a free, reliable and easy-to-use Fantasy football app. After four rounds of Matchdays, Daniel Lord heads the Scout League with 328 points, whilst Waleed Cherif (314 points) and Simon Gow, on 313 points, grab second and third respectively. There’s an iPad mini on offer to the winner – the league name is Fantasy Football Scout and the pin is 11155.

We’ve set up another league for those still following the official Champions League game. Simon Butt is the leader on 316 points – 28th overall – and is followed by sidharth91 and gkalaf on 315 and 313 points respectively.

With Steven Taylor ruled out with injury I need to find a sub 4.1 defender to replace him. I've been looking at Yun (QPR, 3.9). Is his game time secure? QPR have improved recently as well. Already have Hutton. Any other options I should consider?

Yun is the best option there sub 4.1

4GWs (City, Palace, QPR & WHam)

I'm leaning towards Yun because I hate using my transfers on fillers

Yun and Dummet. Monitor Wasilewski, though he's playing for a crap defensive team.

I've gone for Dummet personally. Think he's 4.1 exactly.

Plus nailed on now due to the other injuries. On the other hand might mean a donwturn in Newcastles defensive performances....

    A. Fabregas > Chadli + Pelle > Costa (-8)
    B. Fabregas > Chadli (-4)
    C. Do nothing
    D. Any of the above but with Siggy rather than Chadli

    What would you guys suggest?

tbh I'd go for A but with Siggy rather than Chadli.

I'd also do it next week, not this week. Siggy = tough fixture this week, Pelle = good fixture this week

Good point. Be nothing worse than paying the extra and having him on your bench when he eventually scores.

My current defese is Baines Clyne Chester Hutton Moore so looking to shift Chester or Moore to Yun or Caulker.

in that case it probably only comes down to if you need/want the 0.8m to use elsewhere, bit of a middle of the road answer but i would see what 0.8 could get you elsewhere in your team

    Heaton (Gilks)
    Baines/Clyne/Chambers (Wilson/Moore)
    ADM/Fab/Siggy/Downy (Boyd)
    Costa/Kun/Pelle

    2 FT, 0.3 ITB

Is Pelle & Fab/ADM --> Sakho/Austin & Sanchez the best move or should I prioritize my DEF first?

Baines is worth holding even if he only misses this week (which he might still make!).

I'm also looking at getting rid of Fabregas due to Injury/Suspension potential/high ownership. Maybe go for a form player like Chadli? If you can afford Sanchez by downgrading Clyne/Chambers even better.

Im thinking of changing formation from 343 to 352 to get in the midfielders I long for. This gives me the opportunities to have a striker as a sub. I'm thinking of going for Harry Kane, currently at 4.8. He plays in a decent team, his fellow strikers are absolutly shit (adebayor, soldado) whereas he has performed well in spurs nonpremierleague matches. What do you think about his long term chances of being spurs main striker this season? Worth a punt to get a possible growth i team value and the possibility to rotate him with midfielder who is out of form or playing a superior team?

If you end up with a 3-5-2 and 5 stong mids I would sell one who is out of form not rotate with Kane. I do think Kane will begin to start more PL games but I don't think he will score enough to merit a shift in formation
