FFS Paddy Power Cup X – Seventh Round Draw

This evening, we roll out the seventh round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, and take a look back at the key events during New Year’s Day’s sixth round ties.

United Nations is fast becoming the manager to beat after clocking up his second prize for scoring the highest number of points in a round. A tally of 69 points has propelled him into 334th position overall, earning him another £25 worth of free bets from Paddy Power and setting him up for a round seven tie with Mince and Tatties. United Nations’ fielding of Harry Kane and Gael Clichy proved crucial to his victory.

The giant-killing accolade of the round goes to Aaron Ramessi. He may be ranked 33,436th overall but he saw off round six’s highest ranked manager Never Trust Lukaku, who is ranked 19th. Aaron Ramessi now faces CMIFLFC in the seventh round.

Other notable round seven ties include Mediocre Men, who knocked Granville out in round five, taking on Momalpashands, and community writer Saata facing up to Wolverine. Jimbojunior drew the short straw and meets round seven’s highest ranked manager Mjfdept, who is 65th overall.

Among the 16 remaining competitors, 13 have a rank within the top 10,000 and four are in the elite top 1,000 group.

The full list of sixth round results can be found here, while the seventh round draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

    Congrats and well done mate!

Nothing wrong with that. I just dont trust Silva. Kun still out, yaya gone. Citeh have 3 "tough" fixtures in my eyes coming up.

I fancy ADM(if fit) and Chadli over Silva in next 3.

Just a question ... Why wait for kun? Cause if ur only sellin yaya cause of acon then it seems logic to do city for city surely?

            • 14 Years
            9 years, 3 months ago

Why wait? Because he and hazard are the only "must haves" in the game.

            I don't fancy Silva/Citeh over the next 3, especially without Yaya/Kun/Dzeko.

We all have a WC to fix any feckups, and personally I think getting Silva is not going to get me anywhere over the next 2-3 weeks.

Burnley have a lot of fight in them.

If they go down it will be due to lack of investment and not a deep enough squad. I think they have a real chance of staying up as long as Ings stays fit.

He takes all the set peices and is the focal point of all counter attacks. Will score big with their fixtures IMO. Falcao is too much of an injury gamble at this moment in time for me so would rather go RVP with pens in his locker

Do I finally succumb to the lure of Hazard at the expense of Fab or save? Not happy with Baines and Zab but figure that can wait till I wildcard in a couple of weeks

    Foster McCarthy
    Baines Terry Zab Hutton Dummett
    Sanchez Silva Fab Downing Boyd
    Costa Austin Kane

Don’t get all this United love. IMO even if you double up on their attackers you could still easily miss the top 2 FPL point scorers over a short/medium period.

    Siggy, Haz, Sanchez, Eriksen (Boyd)
    Kane, Austin, Costa

    Kane > Aguero when fit

Hutton has the lesser of projected scores for GW according to RMT:

      A: Baines - 3.39
      B: Wisdom - 3.83
      C: Hutton - 2.55

      Sterling/Siggy/Eriksen + Wisdom?

I have a similar team but have left room (and cash) for Aguero:

      antz (Heaton)

      Azpi,Hutton,Berty, (Wisdom,Dummet)
      Siggy, Haz, Sanchez, Eriksen (Boyd)
      Kane, Austin, Costa

      Kane > Aguero when fit

Thoughts on this potential WC team please

    Foster/Pants

    Terry/Shaw/Alderweireld/Hutton/Wisdom

    Hazard/Sanchez/Downing/ADM/Siggy

    Kane/Austin/Aguero

    Thanks in advance

Good team. See my team above. I might go with Berty until Aguero is fit and downgrade Berty to Alderweireld.
