Basically torn between two WC teams. One has Panti and one Forster. Can have both in the to catch price changes while I decide.

Would mean that my second keeper would be McCarthy though (as Hamer would be at 4.1).

Does that make sense to do?

Haha, happy to help if you need a second opinion.

Also, it means I can't afford Hamer as my backup keeper, that shouldn't be too bad right? (I'd feel bad if he somehow retained the #1 spot).

Panti rose yesterday, caught his rise.

Other two rise today and I've been thinking on the team for ages but can't decide. Guess I'll roll without Hamer for now.

seems unlikely from what I read, but who knows. Might catch a price rise in meantime with all the moves. Not a safe longterm bet, to me.

Yup. He would be just a cheap backup but I can't catch the price rise if I'm looking to play it safe with my options.

Could be or maybe Pearson doesn't have faith in Hamer. I'd guess the former.

Hamers been good, better than Schmiechel (who's name I can't spell).

You'd think Schwarzer would've been thrown in if Pearson had no faith.

I hazard a guess that he needs a sub from Hamer.

I'll run with Hamer on my WC.

          What harm, eh?

If he doesn't play he's a £4m non playing if he does bonus.

Well yeah, I was going to.

Thing is, I'm not sure of my WC yet. Two options: one has Panti and one Forster. Already caught Panti's rise yesterday and keeping Forster in the squad to catch his today. Means Hamer will cost me 4.1 and become unaffordable later. That's the right move here, correct?

He could well be, but I would be very nervy with him as I have read some bad things about his actual ability to play good defense. Could be a position that Pulis buys before the window closes.

    Guzan, Gilks
    Zabaleta, Cahill, Wisdom, Naylor, Clyne

Liverpool's "young" side. If Rodgers gets fired, whoever inherits the team is lucky, especially if it's Klopp. Hope Rodgers stays though.

    Sturridge
    Coutinho Sterling Markovic
    Rossiter Henderson
    Moreno Sakho Lovren Flanagan
    Ward

Bench: Ibe, Allen, Balotelli, Manquillo, Ilori, Origi, Luis Alberto
    Reserves: Borini, Coates, Suso, Aspas
I'm sure those listen in the reserves will be gone along with Alberto/Balotelli.

Brenda should stay either way. Manquillo is not good enough to be a regular starter for us at this point.

I`d rather have Flanno than Manquillo. Better defensively and more reliable. Manquillos just all over the place and hes not good offensively. Johnno just a disaster.

To be fair, a lot of wind affected the shot.

Migs should be #2 keeper. He is a good shot stopper, that's all

I reckon Balo will be sold in the summer, although would like to see him and studge up top.

        I'd take: Trapp(GK), Schar(RCB), Kondogbia(DM), Milner and Lacazette/Vietto if Mario is sold

Will be hard to get higher than you are though without getting some world class star quality

When your rivals are buying the likes Aguero, di Maria , Sanchez etc

As arsenal fan we had that for years ,trying to build a team .10 years ago maybe it worked now days the city's & uniteds just get the cheque book out

We started to do same now with Ozil , Sanchez

I dont think Rossiter should be named as "the one" for the future. Too many have been in his spot before and never been able to make it. The step from where he is to first team football is way too huge to say "hes going to make it". Also Suso left already, and a few more of that lot will too come summer. Still a great young squad, but youth was never going to be an issue under FSG/BR management.

First year playing, WC tactical question, please:

So, if I WC yesterday, and Hamer is projected to rise in price tonight, should I transfer him in to get the price gain, and then I could move him out for another keeper before the freeze (if I choose to do so). I currently drafted Panty and already have Heaton (from a while back). Thanks!

the double rises aren't as common this year, and since transfers that happen due to a WC don't seem to be affecting the price, I agree that it is unlikely to happen in this window. He may come into a lot of squads as a bargain keeper, but a ton of those transfers are going to be WC and won't affect price.

You can make the transfers and just not push wildcard so it would theoretically count as hits but the transfers would still count towards price rises. Get in whoever you want and don't hit the wildcard button until Friday night so that you are giving your guys an additional +1 in the grand scheme of transfers in. If you WC straight away your transfer isn't counting towards their overall potential to increase in price.

may be good advice, but since 99% of people who play their wildcards will do it the conventional way, (being that they are not wise to ways of the Bemba-Da) it is unlikely to be enough people who are doing that "press WC just before GW" thing for it to make a difference.

First half of the season went well when I broke all the usual FPL rules - taking hits, early transfers, having no bench......I changed tact over Christmas and had a shocker. I've reverted and gone this route so that the only decision I have to make most weeks is (duff/Wisdom) and who to give the armband to, I'll deal with injuries as they arise........low maintenance FPL is the way forward for me 🙂

    Wildcard played......

    Forster (Pantilimon)

    Clyne/Terry/Duff (Wisdom/Baird)

    Silva/Sánchez/Hazard/Downing (Marney)

    Kane/Costa/Agüero

    Downing > Albrighton

    Skrtl + Chadli

    or

    Hutton + Tadic/Erikssen/Sterling

    Any suggestion?

A easily. much more goal threat overall and tadic, eriksen and sterling are all too erratic

    Costa Downing
    or
    Austin Fabregas

Such a hard decision as costa scores a goal almost every game but austin is 5m cheaper
