Versus – Eriksen, Cazorla and Oscar

With winter Wildcards in play, we turn our focus on three in-form midfielders in our second members article of the week. Christian Eriksen, Santi Cazorla and Oscar were all amongst the goals in Gameweek 22 and are more or less identically priced in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) – the former pair set you back 8.2, whilst the Chelsea man is slightly more expensive at 8.3.

With Alexis Sanchez and Eden Hazard looking nailed on for most Fantasy managers, the trio are vying for a spot as the third pricey midfielder in many plans right now. As more look to restructure their sides ahead of the Gameweek 23 deadline in ten days’ time, we assess their recent matches and delve into the data over their last six appearances.

    ***POLL***

Earlier this morning I created a poll asking the question; are you going for both Costa AND Aguero in the January wildcard or just selecting one of the two.

35 responses and the results so far are:

    Aguero + Costa: 60% (21 votes)
    Just Agüero: 34% (12 votes)
    Just Costa: 6% (2 vote)
    Neither: 0%

It gives a nice visual on what people are thinking around that dilemma
Interesting Aguero seems to be the key man, with 33 of 35 including him in their WC.

Keep voting and I’ll share the responses later on today.

Just when we thought there aren't enough good picks from Chelsea, here comes Cauadrado.

Going to be FPL Gold if he comes. Will probably come in at the same price as Willian as well. 7.5-8

Tinkering about with WC this week - how's the 1st draft looking?

    Ospina, Pantillimon

    Jones, Muniesa, Hutton, Ivanovic, Wisdom

    Sanchez, Hazard, Boyd, Puncheon, Cazorla

    Aguero, Costa, Kane

wondering whether to shoehorn Giroud into my team or not. It kinda comes down to

    Giroud + Eriksen / Chadli
    ADM + Kane

    Any thoughts ?

Interesting article, thank you. I just did a comparison over the last Four Gameweeks using the ICT Index Values:

    54.0 - Sánchez (Alexis) ARS
    52.9 - Cazorla ARS
    52.3 - Silva MCI
    51.1 - Hazard CHE
    39.6 - Eriksen TOT
    32.2 - Oscar CHE

Cazorla does very well in comparison to Eriksen and Oscar. Could somebody please explain how the ICT values are calculated?

I understand that the Index is a blend of Influence, Creative and Threat. But how is each value arrived at?

Essentially I would like to know how much attention I should pay to the ICT values.

    Thank you very much!

Given his break, is Sterling a viable alternative to Oscar, Cazorla & Eriksen?

Yep, that's my question too. Might be influenced by whether Liverpool sign a striker (Benzema?), or even then he may become the nailed on number 10. Just very hard to work out right now if he'll be a gem or a dud next few GWs.
