The Scout Picks Community Champion Vote – Gameweek 34

Welcome to this week’s Scout Picks Community Champion vote. Here’s a reminder of how this works. As part of our revamped Scout Picks, Mark, myself, Paul and a community champion picked by you each week are up against each other. All four teams are then used to decide our final weekly Scout Picks.

We are now looking for Gameweek 34’s Scout Picks Community Champion to represent you and get one over on The Scouts as well as be in with a chance of winning a special prize. The champion who manages the best Gameweek score (or best score from the first ten matches in a double Gameweek) will win a £100 Amazon voucher.

Remember that, for this week, the second matches for Chelsea, Liverpool, Hull and Leicester will not count towards the final score for the Community challenge. This is to ensure all community champions have an equal shot at the top Gameweek score of the season prize of a £100 Amazon voucher. Nonetheless, the three Scouts are likely to focus their teams on the full 11 matches in order to ensure our overall site Scout Picks are mainly weighted towards the double. In short this is a good week to get one over on the Scouts.

To put yourself forward simply add in your Gameweek 34 Scout Picks. For everyone else please upvote the poster you would like to represent you based on their picks.

We only need 11 picks and please be mindful of the 84m budget. There’s no captain in the picks either and please stick to a designated FPL formation, including no more than three players from one team.

I’ll leave this vote open until 10am tomorrow (Wednesday) when I will announce the winner, who will be asked to submit their final XI plus 200 word explanation to me by 5pm Thursday.

Any attempts to disrupt the voting process may lead to the team involved being removed at our discretion. Also the comment section below is for those who want to present their teams and vote. If you have any suggestions on how the Scout Picks can be improved further next year please email me at jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk rather than leave a comment below.

Good luck...remember the second games for double gameweek teams don't count in terms of the score you get. This is a great week to get one over on the Scouts.

Hart (£6.1) - 4 clean sheets in a row at the Etihad for the reigning Champs.

Skrtel (£5.9) - The stats don't suggest Skrtel is much of a goal threat this season with only 1 attempt in his last 6 but he's the most nailed on Liverpool defender.
Dann (£5.0) - Hull have fired three blanks in their last four away games. 5 attempts at goal and 18 penalty box touches in the last 6 gameweeks point towards Dann being the biggest goal threat from the Palace backline.
Huth (£4.9) - No goals in 4 matches for Burnley. Huth tops the defenders for attempts at goal in the past 6 gameweeks with 9.

Toure (£10.7) - A slight tweak in shape last weekend saw Yaya become more involved in the game behind Aguero. Only second to Silva on attempts on goal in all the midfielders the past 6 gameweeks having played a game less.
Henderson (£6.7) - Only one blank in past 6 gameweeks, will be on penalties if Gerrard is absent.
Hazard (£11.3) - Consistent. Returns in 14 of his last 17 games and has returned in the big games this season. He will be the focal point of Chelsea's counterattacking strategy on Sunday.
Phillips (£4.6) - Second only to Messi in assists in 2015, Phillips would fancy his chances adding to tally against a Hammers side that are already on the golf course. Also taken 13 shots at goal in the past 7 games.

Agüero (£12.6) - 3 goals in 2 and facing a relegation candidate side at home. Tied with Austin for most attempts in the last 6 gameweeks.
Austin (£6.4) - Similar reasons to Phillips, West Ham are counting down the hours until the end of the season. The best single gameweek pick this week.
Murray (£5.3) - Had 3 goals and 4 assists in the 3 matches before the West Brom defeat.

    begovic 4.8
    schlupp 4.5, skrtel 5.9, shawcross 5.3
    ramsey 8.6, bolasie 5.7, jedinak 5.0, yaya 10.7, phillips 4.6
    austin 6.4, aguero 12.6

    here is the logic
defence and keeper, it is hard to predict CS lately so I have opted for players against teams who can't score.
so double stoke defence and leicester defender, with skrtel in there due to liverpool tight defence.
mids and forward are based on who can score goals.
double palace mids against terrible hull team
reckon QPR will score a few against bad whu team
and punting on villa being on a come down from cup win as often happens so yaya to do his random great score this season.
also thrown in a cheeky ramsey due to arsenal great form.
    up front speaks for itself

Hi all - I've tried a couple of times but would love the opportunity to represent the community this week!

    Hart

    Skrtel - Dann - Huth

    Sterling - Coutinho - Hazard - Phillips

    Aguero - Austin - Vardy

    Value: 77.5m

Obviously a similar team to many, but small differences can go a long way! Best of luck to all 🙂

    Davis 4.5 (TOT)
Dann 5.0 (HUL) Terry 6.9 (ARS) Skrtel 5.9 (WBA)
Bolasie 5.7 (HUL) Hazard 11.3 (ARS) Silva 9.8 (AVL) Phillips 4.6 (WHU)
austin 6.4 (WHU), aguero (AVL) 12.6 Murray (HUL) 5.3

    78.00

Davis - Spurs lack ideas against a strong defence, Saints have that. Cleanie to Davis.

Dann - Chance for points at both ends of the pitch, a menace in the opposition box
Terry - Chelsea parking the bus atm. Side with the captain for another cleanie at the Emirates.
Skrtel - He's back to shore up defence against poor WBA, Lucas's return will help too.

Bolasie - Will run the Tigers ragged, the league's most dangerous player currently
Hazard - Cannot be ingnored, he'll notch another break-away goal on Sunday
Silva - City's best player vs. leaky Villa with one eye on the cup final now. Passed fit.
Phillips - The QPR assist machine has added goals to his game. West Ham have given up, perfect fixture for Rangers

Aguero - back in form, will relish playing Villa
Murray - Getting the ammunition from Balasie, Zaha et al. Hull won't be able to handle the barrage
Austin - West Ham on the golf course, Austin ould sneak a couple while they're on the Fairway

    Begovic (SUN)
Janmaat (SWA) - Skrtel (wba) - Mangala (AVL)
Hazard (ars) - Yaya (AVL) - Sterling (wba) - Bolasie (HUL)
Aguero (AVL) - Austin (WHM) - Murray (HUL)

    - Strong fixtures at the back. Liverpool's CS record away to weaker teams is excellent, whilst City have kept four in a row at home.
    - Janmaat features for attacking threat - picked up his eight assist of the season last weekend, whilst with Neil Taylor suspended, he could get some joy surging past Jordi Amat, an unnatural left back. Without Gomis, the Swans also look blunt in attack.
    - Hazard's consistency is simply too stunning to be overlooked.
    - Sterling is Liverpool's main man in attack, assuming he isn't shoved out at wing back - that experiment is seemingly over, and he will cause serious issues for a West Brom backline that has troubles against pace.
    - Palace can be expected to get back to winning ways against Hull, with Murray and Bolasie continuing to post excellent stats - the goals may well return with a vengeance.
    - West Ham are out of sorts and coasting to the beach, whilst QPR desperately need a result - if they score, Austin is almost invariably involved.
    - Yaya has been shooting more and more of late - I expect this to pay off sooner or later, and Villa's lightweight midfield are just the sort you can see him charging past all afternoon. Aguero is back, and borders on essential when playing as the lone striker.

    What about:

    Speroni
    Skrtel Huth Kolorov
    Silva Bolasie Hazard Siggy
    Aguero Giroud Austin

Speroni, Bolasie: Palace on form at the moment and hull are shite
Kolorov, Silva, Aguero: Are hosting Villa, last 4 meetings at citeh were 4-0 5-0 4-1 4-0
Huth, Siggy, Austin: All have plum opposition
Giroud, Hazard: On form players in a derby

    Nice round 82M

Time to tear the Scouts a new one.

    Begovic

    Kolorov // Janmaat // Skrtl

    Silva // Hazard // Fellaini // Puncheon

    Kun // Giroud // Austin

Not a lot of clean sheets on offer this weekend imo (supported by the bookies' odds available). With that in mind, attacking threat is even moreso a must for selection viability. Clichy out means King Kolorov is in! Janmaat has been fantastic going forward and Swans look even more lost offensively without Gomis. Pool are good defensively (moreso away), and Brom certainly aren't prolific.

Silva's stats are unreal, and City have an excellent record vs Villa at the Etihad.

Fellaini will man-handle his way onto the score-sheet against his former club.

Hull will be desperate not to lose and will play a compact game (still not being good enough), I expect Palace set pieces to come into play moreso than open play opportunity hence Puncheon over Bolasie.

    Hazard.

Kun is a must have this week. Giroud's form is hard to ignore in an Arsenal team looking to finish strong. QPR have one less game than other relegation strugglers and will target a vacationing Wham at home as a must win, Austin will duly deliver.

    Under budget 82.4.

When I restore some of the lost dignity to the community by roasting the Scouts and surpassing the 75 points, the end of season prize can be donated to Doosra.

    Cheers,
    Turkey.

Schmeichel: I picked him instead of Schlupp. Schmeichel has collected 14 points in the last three games while Schlupp only 9 points.

Ivanovic: It's better to have him even if everybody else does too.

Skrtel: He's Liverpool main defensive choice at the moment and he gets BPS.

Cresswell: West Ham might be in an awful form but Cresswell always looks like he can deliver some attacking returns on the left side of the field. The price is not too low but he's a differential that i think it's worth gambling on.

Hazard: Phenomenal player that you can't not have.

Henderson: 47 points in the last six games compared to Sterling's 29 and Coutinho's 26. He's a great fourth or fifth MF until the end of the season.

Mata: Very underrated FPL player, he delivered in each but one of the last four games with 2 goals and 2 assists. He can definitely score more points against Everton and he's a great differential.

Sterling: Two Liverpool midfielders against a defense that has conceded 10 goals in the last 4 games, allowing QPR to score 4 goals and Bolasie to score a hat-trick.

Aguero: He's found the way back to the goal and it feels like he's the only City player worth having at the moment.

Benteke: Amazing form lately with 8 goals and 1 assist in the last six. He can definitely crash City's defense and his ownership is shockingly low.

Murray: Cheap price striker in very good form facing a weak defense.
