Creating A Fixture Rotation Guide Using The Members Ticker

The Members edition of the Fantasy Football Scout season ticker allows users to create their own versions based on specific research about fixture difficulty. One of the things I like to do is to use this function to create my own rotation spreadsheet to pinpoint the teams with the easiest fixtures each Gameweek. This is particularly handy when looking for good defender and goalkeeper pairs to rotate. This brief guide aims to show you how to do this. More information about Fantasy Football Scout Membership can be found here. Please note this function is not available to non-Members.

When visiting the Members area, click on ‘season ticker.’  Once on the season ticker page scroll to the bottom and click on the  ‘fixture difficulties’ tab. To create a rotation version change all fixture difficulties to 0. This will turn the whole of the ticker white. Then if you think there is an easy fixture, such as playing Watford at home, then put a 1 in this section. This will make the fixture a dark blue on the ticker. If you think the fixture is ok, such as playing West Ham away, then put a 1100 in this section. This will make the fixture turn a light blue on the ticker. If you want to go a step further to add an extra colour in to mean something else (such as an incredibly easy fixture) then you can put a 9999 in which will make that fixture red. All white fixtures are those where you would not want to play a defender.

The above picture shows a snap shot of just four teams just to give an indication of  how your ticker will look in the end. This offers an easier way to see which teams have the easiest fixtures in a given time frame, which players to play each week and teams where you may want to invest in to offer a defensive rotation option for your squad.

Thanks for this. Really handy advice for getting the most out of the Members version of the season ticker.

    Nice one Sarj!

Was toying around with this feature earlier. It's a great addition to the Member's Area! 😀

Is there a way to add a column of my creation to the stats tables? eg. I want to include a %age based on 2 existing columns A and B, so I include a column of A*100/B ?

Is it possible in the table or do I just copy it onto my excel and do it?

I love using it to do this. Easy to identity the easy fixtures!

I can't seem to sort the ticker by difficulty of fixtures once I have decided which fixtures are easy/hard, is this possible?

Also, are you able to save the changes you make?

It automatically happens. Shows as "You are the Scout"

I think the colour scheme in the RMT (last time I looked anyway) leaves a lot to be desired...if it could be changed to match the ticker colours exactly it would be much easier to use

so I think this is a very good suggestion from The Sarge and of course some people will want to use their own fixture difficulties...but if the RMT was changed as I suggest you could see rotations much more easily without the need to waste time messing around

Really good idea and simple too. Nice job, it'd be handy when looking at a possible 3 way rotation early doors as well as GKer rotations

Probably worth reminding everybody, and especially for new members, that you can then drag and drop teams by hovering over the team name. This provides an easy way to play around with home and away rotations as well as the above article.

Why wouldn't you use the default difficulty ratings? I think they are based on Elo aren't they, which is as good as anything else.

I assume the changes are made to make the ticker very clear and stark - desirable and undesirable fixtures, rather than a scale.
