Having narrowly finished second to champions Manchester City in 2013/14, Liverpool’s prospects were dealt a bitter blow last summer after 31-goal Luis Suarez was snapped up by Barcelona. With the Uruguayan gone, and Daniel Sturridge restricted to seven starts due to injuries, it was a season to forget for Brendan Rodgers’ outfit.

      Hoffenheim should not be under estimated. A very family feel to it and has a good youtprogram.

          Hence why big clubs are sniffing round him now?

          He's been excellent the past 2/3 years though. The form of Kevin de Bruyne this past season is similar to the kind of form Firmino was producing in 13/14 when he scored over 20 goals, and a high amount of assists also.

          Max Kruse is another Bundesliga player who's shown that kind of form at times in recent years. He's just got a transfer to Wolfsburg.

      He hasn't been good for 5 seasons though, Hoffenheim signed him when he was about 17/18.

      He is talented though. Technical, two-footed, versatile and very productive.

        Could be a Coutinho-style heist by Rodgers again. Coutinho on the fringes of Inter, Bren saw his potential. Pity he can't be so inspired with all his signings 🙁

          Firmino is way more proven than what Coutinho was when he came. Coutinho was a big flop for Inter who didn't even get to play that much. They were happy to get rid of him. Firmino however is Hoffenheims best player and one of the best attacking players in the Bundesliga.

    Any of ye watching any of the Women's World Cup? I've seen a couple of gamez. Not as quick or as physical as the mens game but seem to be a lot more attack-minded, less incliniaton to con the ref by diving etc or cynical play.
