Dugout Discussion

The Dugout Discussion – Monday

We head to the Emirates this evening as Gameweek 3 comes to its conclusion with a head-to-head between two of last season’s top six. Despite scoring just twice so far, Arsenal have offered a significant threat in the final third – although they’ve played only two matches, Arsene Wenger’s side still sit joint-top for shots inside the box, firing 32 close-range attempts.

Liverpool arrive in London in impressive defensive form, though. The Reds have registered back-to-back shut-puts this season and chalked up eight clean sheets away from home in 2014/15 – joint-top with West Brom. With three very favourable home fixtures in the following four, Fantasy managers will be keeping a keen eye on the Merseysiders’ main men at both ends of the pitch.

Given that Arsenal are missing both Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker, Christian Benteke owners will be hopeful of another goal for the Belgian, after he opened his account against Bournemouth last Monday evening.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Ozil is the main man to keep for Arsenal.
He has his foot on every Arsenal goal.

But in case you already have another Arsenal MID, then Coutinho is a good option.

    27, 28, 36.

Screw it, WC time. I even did my first RMT last night in well over a year and most people said no.

I don't care, it's meant to be fun. Sad times.

I struggle to get excited owning Sanchez
He seems to either be making false runs to make space for others
Making simple passes then standing watching
Or taking two touches to control it and making wrong choice

LFC defense who needs to take credits.
Arsenal managed well, the only weak link was Giroud up front.
Walcott should have been introduced at half time.

The best part about having a WC is you can tempt faith and make an early transfer to your sh!t team knowing you can get out of it if it all goes t!ts up by the end of the week.

It will be painful to see me so low down the table during the International break. Big name players need to start scoring

Who to get in for Depay??
    0.9ITB
I am tempted to get Adama Traore given the fixtures and price
    Or just keep Depay???

depends who else you have. Yaya, Mahrez, Redmond, Shaqira, Ayew & Barkley all need to be considered at least.

Depay will come good but need adaptation time.
On top of that, they've got CL qualifiers, the reason why he was not in his match for the second half against Newcastle.
Coutinho or Ozil are good options though.

Is it worth taking a hit for the below changes, since I'm disappointed with Hazard placement on the pitch after the arrival of Pedro, I'd prefer owning Costa..

    Hazard + Pelle --> Coutinho/Ozil + Costa (for -4 pts)

Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I would go Ozil and Costa mate

Saints have been poor and Hazard has been too! You can always change them back at a later stage if they pick up form

Hey guys, I have planned up until Int break with my players.. Unfortunately as per most of us, GW1&2 were pretty average! I however, kept faith in my squad (with one change per week as planned) dropped Fabregas (playing too deep and looking off the pace) and Milner for Payet and Toure

GW3 I got semi rewarded with 69 points (played TC on Depay which was a waste now, really thought he would against Newcastle and after ECL hit the EPL with storm.....) I am happy Wilson has got me some points now as well!

My question is: (I am not playing my WC, I will see after the INT break.. I do want to make 6 changes now but would prefer to keep it for after INT break, just in case a few injuries occur)

    1) Ox for Mahrez
    2) Mane for Mahrez

    Spend 4 points and...

    1) Ox for Mahrez and Mane for Ayew/Coutinho
    2) Ox for Mahrez and Rooney for Costa

I would prefer to not spend any points, spent over 34 last year and this year I am playing it properly, really want to do well and finish in the top 100 000

This is my current team as it stands

    Steklenburg/Butland
    Clyne/Mertesacker/Huth/Alderweireld/Kolarov
    Mane/Ox/Payet/Depay/Yaya
    Rooney/Kane/Wilson

    With 0.4m ITB

I want to put Ayew in but he is up against Utd and if I play my WC which I am 85% sure I will after the break (also depending on how my players perform this weekend)

Would appreciate a good few responses please and or alternative suggestions..
