The Weekend Team News

Laurent Koscielny is ruled out of Arsenal’s clash with United. Winston Reid emerges as a doubt for the Hammers. Palace are without four injured players for the visit of West Brom. Stoke are sweating on Xherdan Shaqiri’s fitness, Jordy Clasie returns to contention ahead of Southampton’s trip to Chelsea, whilst Claudio Ranieri admits that Jamie Vardy has played the last three league outings with a broken wrist.

Laurent Koscielny, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini have all been ruled out of Arsenal’s home clash with United this weekend. Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Koscielny is expected to be sidelined for three weeks with a hamstring problem.

Slaven Bilic could be without Winston Reid at the weekend, with the defender doubtful after “feeling something in his back or hip area”. Andy Carroll is also a concern, and will be assessed having trained with the fitness coaches this week. Meanwhile, Angelo Ogbonna remains sidelined for the Sunderland clash. In more positive news, Enner Valencia has returned to full training following a knee injury though is still “a few weeks” away from being involved within the squad again.

Connor Wickham, Mile Jedinak, Joel Ward and Damian Delaney all remain sidelined for the weekend after missing out at Watford through injury .The quartet are expected to return against West Ham following the international break, according to Alan Pardew.

Claudio Ranieri has revealed that Nathan Dyer is back in training following a knee injury, though the weekend comes too soon for the winger. The Leicester manager has also confirmed that Jamie Vardy is currently playing with a broken wrist sustained against Aston Villa in Gameweek 5.

Xherdan Shaqiri faces a battle to be fit for the trip to Villa Park. The summer signing has failed to train this week with an ongoing hamstring complaint, whilst Marc Wilson is also a concern for the Potters with a calf problem. Mark Hughes has also confirmed that Ryan Shawcross is back in training with the reserves as he steps up his recovery from a back injury. The Potters boss is looking to organise a couple of friendlies to quicken up his skipper’s return to action.

Roberto Martinez has confirmed it’s still “too early” to decide whether injured pair John Stones and Seamus Coleman will be available for Sunday’s Merseyside derby.

Southampton have received a boost ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge after summer arrival Jordy Clasie was passed fit after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Alex Neil has confirmed there are no new injuries for Norwich ahead of the home clash against Leicester. Youssouf Mulumbu is back in light training, whilst Gary Hooper is two weeks away from a return.

Brendan Rodgers has conceded there is “no real change with injuries” ahead of Sunday’s Merseyside derby. Christian Benteke is to be assessed over the next 24 hours but the squad is likely to be the same as last weekend.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

He's at home to Leicester and his numbers are very good. Just feels wrong when I put him on the bench.
Minus for him is threat of rotation though.

Normally does around lunch time but it's not on mc site yet.

I think we're good with Silva, heard somewhere that he's good. And he's not listed as injured anywhere

Already taken a -4 to get Wilson and Ward out.
I don't think its worth another -8 to get Kompany and Yaya out.
    Guess I'm stuck with this!

    Schmeichel
    Dawson / Darmian / Richards
    Mahrez (vc) / Barkley / Sánchez / Payet (c)
    Martial / Agüero / Ighalo

McCarthy / Gomez / Yaya Touré / Kompany

After thinking forever about my Wilson replacement, I think I might just let it rest this weekend and reassess based on performances, playing Westwood. I can soak up one more drop from him without losing out anyway.

My transfers would then be Yaya -> KDB/Silva and Pedro -> Payet (-4).

How does this sound? (I am basing this on Pedro not starting, btw)

I've got a lineup I'm not so confident with this week, not sure how to change it though:

    De Gea
    Richards, Smalling, Kolarov
    Sanchez, Mahrez, Payet, Silva, Pedro
    Vardy, Martial

    Bench: Gomis, Gomez, Targett, Mcarthy.

I'm thinking of selling Gomis and bringing in someone else, then maybe taking out Sanchez (I'm a united fan, so despite feeling like he might score, I'd rather not be wanting him to score)

    Thoughts?

Is it wise to transfer Yaya and Kos out for a - 8 hit? I'm worried their prices will drop sharply. I have KDB and Cresswell in mind...

Yeah I know. I'll probably hold off on Kos (I don't think he's in danger of dropping, yet). But I'm leaning towards Yaya > KDB atm. I think City will crush Newcastle this weekend

City's form is patchy at the mo but I'd still back them over next few. I think KDB will end up being best City midfield option too.
