The Big Numbers – Midfielders – Last Four Gameweeks

After delving into the Gameweek 5-8 data for Defenders yesterday afternoon, we now set our sights on the midfielders. Arsenal’s in-form duo arrive under analysis, whilst we also cast an eye over City and West Ham’s summer signings and analyse the recent displays of Southampton’s wide men as the fixtures turn in their favour.

For goodness sake, unless it is a long-term injury, who in their right mind would transfer out someone they will want to bring back one or two weeks later? That's what your bench is for!

Hamstring injuries are rarely "one or two weeks". A strain will see possibly no action until after the next break (gw 12) or a tear, as reported may see him out for longer

Yeah, my plan was to bench a guy who has scored in 5 goals in 8 games. 3-5-2

The sort of weak leaving money on the bench argument.
But when you can have ANY other striker for the Kun cash - a correct pick will more than make up for the -4

If it's a tear he won't be back prior GW 13, so as soon as it's confirmed it's time to say goodbye for now

professional footballers who get paid lots and lots of money to do just that should be fined for coming back overweight. My friend is a coach at under21s for Cardiff and they get fined for doing so, why not him. Really grinds my gears

Argentina boss Gerardo Martino said later: "He had been carrying a knock with his club, during the week we took good care of him. He was moving around the pitch well, but unfortunately he felt some discomfort and we are going to lose him.

"I haven't spoken to the doctor but I can confirm the injury is not the same as the one he had been carrying with his club."

Kun, who hit the form of his life with five goals against Newcastle last weekend, is likely to have a scan in the next few days and mcfc.co.uk will bring you updates as and when they are released, though it seems safe to assume the Blues' No.10 could miss a number of key games as he recovers from his injury.

'though it seems safe to assume the Blues' No.10 could miss a number of key games as he recovers from his injury.' - just no. That is just baseless speculation. The only relevant part of that final paragraph is the bit where it says he will have a scan.

In general, I agree with your point, and wouldn't be surprised to see the same man say the same thing heaps of other times. But this is Kun we're talking about, it was written this would happen as soon as he grabbed that 5th
