Tottenham’s Erik Lamela become the latest player to topple off the Suspension Tightrope after earning his fifth caution of the campaign during this afternoon’s north London derby at the Emirates. The in-form Argentine – whose absence could pave the way for fit-again Heung Min-Son to stake a claim for a starting berth – misses Spurs’ upcoming home match-up against West Ham United but will be available when Chelsea roll up to White Hart Lane in Gameweek 14.

With five new arrivals over the weekend’s fixtures, the Suspension Tightrope is drawing quite the crowd – there’s now an 18-strong band of wrongdoers on four bookings as we head into the international break.

Southampton’s Graziano Pelle is certainly the most pertinent of the new recruits from a Fantasy perspective. The Saints’ leading marksman currently sits at a hefty 34% ownership – having bagged four goals and as many assists in seven starts – and will be wary of committing further indiscretions ahead of a home tie against Aston Villa in Gameweek 15.

The Italian was joined by James McCarthy, Chris Brunt, Glenn Whelan and Cheick Tiote. The Newcastle enforcer has now chalked up more yellow cards (53) than any player in the Premier League since he made the switch to St James’ Park in August 2010.

In terms of new bans, West Brom defender Gareth McAuley received his marching orders for denying Anthony Martial a clear goal scoring opportunity at Old Trafford, making him the only recipient of a red card throughout the weekend. The Northern Ireland international has been handed a one-match suspension and misses out when Arsenal pay visit after the international break, returning for a trip to West Ham in Gameweek 14.

After the 2-0 defeat, Baggies boss Tony Pulis was somewhat critical of the centre-half and acknowledged McAuley’s challenge left referee Mike Dean with little alternative:

“Gareth McAuley (for the red card and penalty) should have stayed on his feet and if the kid scores the kid scores…It’s difficult for Mike. You could feel, with a couple of minutes to go, that he might look at it differently. But the letter of the law says that if he’s last man and he brings him down he has to send him off.”

Aside from McAuley, James Collins is the only other player serving out a suspension during the next round of fixtures. The Hammers’ seasoned centre-back has two fixtures remaining on his three-match ban, ruling him out of a road tie against Tottenham Hotspur and a home clash against West Brom. With Winston Reid back in the frame, however, it’s unlikely that Collins will reclaim a starting berth upon his return.

United’s Matteo Darmian is now available for the upcoming trip to Watford after he fell off last week’s Tightrope. Norwich skipper Russell Martin and Southampton’s Victor Wanyama are both back in contention after they were dismissed during last week’s matches.

As always, mainly thanks to our resident Tightrope expert Anorak, who has been keeping us up-to-date via his twitter stream.

So, some of you that were on here on Friday may remember this traumatising post:

    http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2015/11/06/captain-sensible-gameweek-12-3/?hc_page=2#hc_comment_11771301

I got into work 30 minutes ago, closed my eyes and inhaled deeply before entering the room. The world as I knew it was about to be turned upside down, thrown into unimaginable chaos from which I may never recover. I braced myself, opened the door, and was immediately blinded by an astonishing light, a light of hope. There, in the office, were brand new desks...but...the layout...it was identical to before.

There, at the far end, sat my boss. "What happened to the desk move?" I croaked, fearing the answer, terrified that this was just a temporary reprieve. "It was the phone cables...they wouldn't work with the new desk configuration. We have had to keep the same layout, you are still sat in that corner".

A smile stretched across my face, followed by a chuckle, then a laugh, and finally I wept. I went to talk, but it was at that moment that I lost consciousness.

I am here now, sat in my trusty old place, my screen blocked from view of those around. My 3 day hell is over, a feverish nightmare from which I am now immune. My trusty old Fantasy Football Scout, my old, dear friends, I shall not be snatched from your warm hold just yet. It is at times like this that you start to appreciate what you have, to be thankful for the general incompetence and lack of planning from those above you in their quest for new seating.

Here I am, and I have one thing to say.

Cheers KoL, it's comforting that, whatever technological advances there have been, a simple desk move can be thwarted by phone cables simply not being long enough.

Yep there was a planned rearrangement of the office, which would have left my screen in full view of everyone. Thankfully, they didn't plan something as simple as "will the phones reach".

Didn't read your initial post until now, and read it so fast I wondered what's it really all about, are you getting a promotion, a new job, or what. Which all should have been like good news.

Finally, a special mention for, once again, failing to mention me in that initial goodbye post. 🙁 Never mind, that's okay, I wouldn't have missed you either.

Ahahaha it was a quick list of a few names that I'd seen on that day, I couldn't bring myself to type your name because the emotion would have been too strong.

It wasn't a promotion or anything, they were just rearranging the desks in the office, and I would have been in full view of everyone, as opposed to in the corner where I can have FFS open.

I've had a lot of strapping and various bumps, bruises, and cuts but it's only a few damaged ligaments; the bones are all intact.

I've had lots of rest and being waited on all weekend, and i'm now back at work sporting a fetching pair of sandals. Not too shabby.

My long term plan is to get Aguero into my team as I doubt anybody in my league will claw the money together to get him, at least not for the first couple of weeks that he is back. Would Sanchez -> Ozil be a good start, to get £2.9mill ITB? I do have a WC which will help also, looking to do Martial -> Aguero in the end.

Is there chat that Vardy will be suspended following his out burst at the weekend or is he untouchable? Wilshere was banned for 2 matches for the same thing in 2013 -

ridiculous. Swearing at people, especially authority figures is not acceptable any society.

You don't see players doing it in rugby, mostly because they are proper human beings

Nothing is wrong with tennis, just shows you dont watch it too much. There is plenty of swearing at refs and other things, also breaking raquets is ok?

I absolutely know nothing on cricket, so i ignored it. Dont want to talk about something i have 0 knowledge. Rugby is also up there. rugby players tend to address refs as 'sir' and show the utmost respect to them as a figure of authority.

In big games you will see/hear the refs miked-up so you can hear this in action

Lets not compare role models. Way worse people out there that are "role models" than a football player who says fek off and flips a ref off.

Not even supporting the thing he did, just saying that in my eyes that shouldnt be sanctioned after the match. During the match YC or whatever is absolutely fine.

Costa sucks atm. He holds on to the ball too long, and tries to beat a man too much, which results in him losing possession more often than not. Seeing him ruin so many promising attacks recently, has put me off Hazard who looked good on Saturday. Costa is a major cog in the chelsea approach. If he isn't doing well, chelsea dont generally do well

    Thoughts on my WC team?

    DDG Darlow
    Fonte Bertrand Souare Ward Moreno
    Mahrez Sanchez Bolasie Ritchie Hazard
    Aguero Lukaku Ighalo

If Aguero isnt back Ill go with Costa (NOR) then switch after. I know there is a doubt over Ward but hes the best bet for a 4.4 defender. Hazard wont be popular i know but he has been great the last two games and im keeping him for the next 6.

It's certainly different - which I'd guess is part of the reasoning behind the selection.

Reasonably solid. I'd do more with the Ritchie/Bolasie/Hazard cash. I think you can still be different but stronger without going for those 3.

not sold on double Saints double palace D or Ritchie, Hazard is ballsey but the rest looks good. No city if Kun is out is also questionable. Probably rather Silva over Hazard and souare to Rojo

I think 2 Chelsea is too much if there's no Aguero, would prefer Kane like Fortune said.

I'm also not a fan of the double Saints or Palace at the back. Would much prefer a United and Arsenal defender to replace one of each, if possible. Saints face City, Tottenham and Arsenal in their next 6. Not even sure I'd have a Saints defender, would prefer a United, Arsenal or even City defender.

Also, what do you think of Deulofeu over Ritchie?

Too many Saints, too many Palace. No Spuds, No Arsenal. VERY poor blend.

    De Gea, Schwarzer

    Sanchez, KdB, Sterling Payet, Drinkwater
    Lukaku,Vardy,Ighalo
Keep in mind that I want to bring in Aguero by the end of next 2-3 GWs. I have 2.1m itb. I have 1FT but am willing to take a -4 hit.

    My defence is:

    Cedric Jones Kompany Moreno Simpson.

As part of a 3 transfer strategy to Aguero, I need to downgrade Kompany to a max 5.4 player. (And yes I know I have Jones as an issue as well). It will probably be to keep for the season.

    Options I am considering:

    A. Alderweireld
    B. Jonny Evans.
    C. Mertesacker.

    Any thoughts much appreciated.
