    Dann, Azpil, Cedric (Kompany, Monreal)
    Ozil, Mahrez, Cabaye, KDB (Mane)
    Ighalo, Lukaku, Vardy

Got 1FT and WC to play before the 19th. Also in a mini-league where highest points for December wins cash. Please make suggestions 😀

    A) Cedric --> Zouma for now and Play WC next week
    or
    B) something else
    or
    c) Play WC now

I'd love to know, too. I fear he isn't though. Team news had Yacob starting in place of Evans, and Evans taking his spot in the backling back from Olsson. But Yacob wasn't in the squad. So is he dropped, or not? There could be rotation, I feel.

I don't know why I got Kane. did it as all ml rivals have him

but check his scores, only 2 double figures all season and one of those was gifted to him by the Bournemouth keeper.

I might keep him for Xmas, but he also might be gone again come sat.

    again, 2 scores over 8

    Bottomed.

Is there an argument to not get Lukaku? Only 3 easy games left for him before fixtures turn. Probably won't (C) him against Leicester. Everton have a game on the 26th and 28th, could get rotated? Best too avoid then?

    Regret =

Going against my gut and doing Aguero -> Kane, rather than Francis -> Ake. Then watching Ake get a CS and 2 bps, Stanislas score (he'd have come in for Aguero) and then Lukaku score again (would have captained him if i hadn't got Kane)

All this and now i don't Aguero anymore.

    Urgh.

Didn't see the match, just now checked the shot maps (from whoscored.com, the following stats are NOT from the member's area!!!), and it seems like Villa may have some big positives to take from the Arsenal match, despite losing.

Arsenal average, this match included, 16.8 shots (15.6 away from home) and 11.9 SiB (11), and averagely concede 10.4 shots (10.6 away) and 5.1 SiB (5.2).

Villa held them to 8 shots and 7 SiB, and themselves got 18 shots and 7 SiB, being just the 4th team in PL to outshoot Arsenal this season.

They also held averagely 5.9 SoT (5.7) Arsenal to just 4 SoT, but themselves only got 2 SoT (arsenal, on average, has conceded 3.7), which tells pretty directly why they lost.

Arsenal lead from 8 minutes and this was an away match after a big tiring midweek CL clash, which two factors partly explain why they ended up losing shots, but I don't think they explain them to an extent that this wouldn't have been impressive from Villa. E.g. Bournemouth played ManU in similar conditions and drew both shots and SoT, and lost SiB.

Didn't see, but from what you say it sounds like he's getting chances that guarantee attacking returns in the long run.

          Got him in this week.

Was unlucky but very attacking. Lamela went close from Rose's pass and Kane wasn't far from Rose's cross either. He was right in the BPS just behind Dier until his yellow then the resulting foul.

Still keepig faith he looked promising!

    Spurs next three:

    Southampton (a)
    Norwich (h)
    Watford (a)
    Everton (a)

Not easiest of fixtures, I've commented earlier in the week based on my observations of Kane against Chelsea and West Brom that he was playing far deeper than usual. On several occasions in the last few games, you see him often in wide areas when the ball is played up and not in the danger areas, other Spurs Midfielders are ahead of him making runs into the penalty box. As a Striker his role is to get into the box to increase his chances of scoring a goal. He's not doing that which will limit his scoring opportunities.

I also think he's out of form, and on occasions he's been few yards short of the ball when played into him in the box. Infact he was player earlier in the season when he wasn't scoring, at least then he was getting his shots off in the box, just unlucky not to score.

Is it time to look beyond Kane and bring in another striker?

You should just play it safe with the consistent players. I went with Özil because of his consistency, 10 points better off.

It does. I'm not sure if this makes you feel any better, but your VC points seem quite low too, so it's not as if you were nearly picking a better captain. It's rather that you're completely avoiding the good captaincy choices by great distance. 🙂

Mahrez, Willian, Hazard and Vardy left tomorrow

The potential of a great GW is still there, but more than likely it'll be a low-scoring game 😕

How many players you all got in arsenal v city next week?

I'm on 5 which seems too many.
