It was just something I read, easy league but he's very well thought of, and if they think he's ready the only way to know is to give him a chance. He needs the experience at some stage anyway. But this was more of a contingency plan, several other players are being looked at beforehand or something. Leno would be class though compared to Migs.

If he can pull ahead by 130 points in 19 gameweeks, you can pull it back in 19 gameweeks including the odd DGW. But with the template so strong you will need some luck and/or be on the new form players early when they emerge.
Big players not firing has been massive let down. Holding onto Aguero for such a long time has absolutely killed me, my only possible way to crawl back points.

Means nothing really. Having to guess which one of eleven will score highest will usually end in failure. To expect otherwise is crazy. Vice captains now, might mean something. 🙂
I'm not expecting to get it right every week, but a little more often would be nice.
It's the most important and most frustrating aspect of the game. But to compare what you did get with you might have is an exercise in disappointment given the amount of luck that goes into it. If you check your cap scores against your vice cap you cud maybe learn something. Possibly. But i just wudn't look into the other at all cos it's almost certainly gunna just make u wonder what if and get down about it
Only two captain successes in the last nine weeks - one of which delivered me a whopping 12 points after doubling and resulted in a big red arrow - is pretty poor in a period when players have been scoring week after week so I'm already down about it. 🙁

Evening. Have been seeing a ton of posts the last few weeks about how this season is awful, the template is impenetrable, etc. -- does anyone have any actual data that this season is demonstrably different other than Overall Ranks?
I'm asking because I am wondering if Overall Rank is simply a measure of how well you stack up against others, not how well you play the game as far as getting as many points as you can. Templates form every year, especially among the top 10k, around this time iirc.
Maybe the difference this year is that the insider edge that many FFSers enjoyed in the past isn't working as well, or maybe the masses are playing the game a lot better. My recollection is that the best ranks I would see on this site were from pretty risk averse players who got on bandwagons early, but I am seeing plenty of commentary lately about how risk is not being rewarded. Do people have evidence that that has happened in the past?
I am having an awful, awful season by most measures, especially OR, but I just think I played it too risky and was too stubbornly faithful to the supposedly elite players. Nobody else's fault but mine, but I am not sure this season is that different or the players to identify are that much easier than in seasons past.
This isn't meant to attack how others are feeling, but rather to ask if anyone has access to historical FPL data or other ways to measure a "good" or "bad" season. Would be interesting to reframe the conversation in a more empirical way, perhaps.It's only anecdotal evidence but I don't recall in the past few seasons so many players scoring week in week out for such a long period, except Suarez and maybe RVP - and they cost a bomb.
Yeah, the pricing has to be a part of it, though Yaya and Ramsey, Michu and Fellaini also did much better than expected (though not sure on the binges that Vardy Ozil Mahrez Lukaku Ighalo have had) and were amazing value.
There have been templates before for sure, but very few that score every week while nearly all other options fail to hit any kind of stride.
