The Weekend Team News

Ryan Shawcross and Xherdan Shaqiri are ruled out of Stoke’s clash with Watford. Everton’s Bryan Oviedo remains a doubt, Watford top scorer Odion Ighalo is set for a late assessment, whilst Andre Ayew is sidelined for Swansea’s home match against Villa.

Bryan Oviedo remains a doubt for Everton’s clash with Arsenal, with Roberto Martinez admitting that the Costa Rican has “lost a considerable amount of weight” from a recent chest infection. Gareth Barry serves the first of a two-match suspension for the Toffees after being sent off against Chelsea last weekend, whilst Kevin Mirallas sits out the second of his own two-match ban.

Mathieu Flamini has been ruled out of Arsenal’s trip to Everton with the knock that forced him off against Barcelona in midweek.

Villa’s Carlos Sanchez has stepped up his recovery from a hamstring problem and “should” be available for the trip to Swansea. Remi Garde is hopeful that both Jack Grealish and Adama Traore could return in time to face Chelsea in Gameweek 32.

Sunderland’s new signing Emmanuel Eboue has picked up a hamstring problem and joins Duncan Watmore on the sidelines ahead of the Tyne-Wear derby. Jermain Defoe has been suffering from a calf complaint but will return to full training today.

Ryan Shawcross has been ruled out of Stoke’s trip to Watford due to a back problem. Xherdan Shaqiri is also missing after picking up a thigh complaint, though Mark Hughes reckons both will be back in contention after the international break. Erik Pieters has failed to train all week and remains doubtful, though Phil Bardsley is back in contention after recovering from a calf problem.

Alan Pardew is optimistic that Mile Jedinak will recover from a back problem in time to face Leicester. Connor Wickham remains sidelined with a thigh problem.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe will make a late decision on Harry Arter’s fitness as the midfielder continues to nurse an Achilles complaint. Junior Stanislas remains on the sidelines for the trip to Tottenham.

James Morrison remains sidelined for West Brom, Tony Pulis has confirmed. The Baggies boss also conceded that they have “one or two knocks” ahead of Norwich’s visit tomorrow.

James Collins and James Tomkins are still unavailable for West Ham’s trip to Stamford Bridge, though Winston Reid is back in contention after being forced off with cramp last weekend. The on-loan Victor Moses cannot play against his parent club.

Quique Sanchez Flores will make a late check on the availability of Odion Ighalo, who was subbed off with a muscle problem last weekend. Miguel Britos remains a doubt with a calf complaint, whilst Joel Ekstrand is unlikely to be available for the visit of Stoke.

Ander Herrera missed United’s cup clash with Liverpool last night with a minor groin problem.

Eric Dier and Ben Davies are both doubts for Tottenham’s clash with Bournemouth. The latter was forced off against Dortmund following a collision with keeper Hugo Lloris, whilst Dier picked up a knock towards the end of the 2-1 home loss.

Andy King is doubtful for Leicester’s clash with Palace due to the illness that caused him to miss out against Newcastle on Monday.

Andre Ayew misses Swansea’s home encounter against Villa due to an ankle problem, though Jefferson Montero is available after recovering from illness.

Nathan Redmond is ruled out of Norwich’s clash against West Brom due to the ankle injury sustained against City last Saturday lunchtime.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Williams and Daniels. Who do you keep, who do you sell for your gameweek 34 team? Haven't got a wildcard before anyone says sell both.

Keep Williams for Newcastle away - he could get 9 pointer with Rafa defence solidity

A side effect of this is that there's less than 24h till you punch the WC.

Right guys, I've been doing some for DGW planning, and I've updated my planning tool and I thought some of you might find it useful:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WMoQEicmkrJMusLUmzb0FuVCkBQ44xyKB22LkHTJ7hM/edit?usp=sharing

Some pointers on what it does:

    - States the DGW fixtures at the top, highlight those that have both and those with blanks
    - Allows you to enter your GW33 WC team on the left-hand side, name and team
    - It then populates the fixtures for that player into all subsequent weeks
    - The players in each subsequent week default to those of the previous, but you can overwrite the formulas to plan your transfers in GW 35-37. Subsequent weeks will update to reflect this transfer
    - Counters display
    ------No. of DGWers in GW34 & GW37
------No of players with a game in GW35
    - It also has a nice little summary of your WC team below which can easily by copied and pasted into a nice RMT format for the community

In return, I'm going to ask for some advice if I may. I'm entered into a Liverpool Supporters Club league, where I'm not permitted to but Utd or Everton players (which is a nightmare for GW34!!).

On this basis, I've put together this team. With the destruction I'm working to, what are your thoughts? Have you any recommendations/advice?

    Mignolet - Elliot
    Cresswell - Bellerin - Kompany - Dawson - Janmaat
    Firmino - Payet - Coutinho - Antonio - Ozil
    Aguero - Kane - Giroud

(copied that from my spreadsheet) 😆

** Obviously I'm clinging on to the hope of Kompany been fit for the moment

Should note, I'm confutable to move Kane out for a DGWer, but with no Lukaku or Martial to pick from... really note sure there's a viable option

          The no Utd thing??

Could hold on to Mahrez though, you're right.

Perhaps these restrictions mean I'm best placed to retain a couple of Leicester/Spurs assets. I was aiming for 15 though (could fools gold)

Alot more balance than this team I was looking at...

        DDG, Hennessey
        CBJ, Olsson, Bellerin, Janmaat, Ake
        Payet, Ozil, Firminio, Coutinho, Sanchez
        Lukaku, Martial, Aguero

Chaps - I've been looking at some of the cheaper options for a 3rd striker for DGW 34:

    A.) Diafra Sakho (lei, WAT)
    B.) Rondon/Berahino (WAT, ars)
    C.) Deeney (wba, whm)
    D.) Welbeck (CPL, WBA)
    E.) Rashford (AVL, CPL)

Who do we prefer from this lot?

Welbeck would be great with a game in 35 if he can become nailed

        No idea. Currently already have

        Ozil. Firmino. Aguero. Bellerin.

        Might sell Silva.

Definitely want Alexis. And one of DDG/Hart. And Martial.

35 is the big problem for me and poor value

Big gains to be made 35!

Its a risk of going light in 34 and playing catch up possibly or go big and use hits if need to for lead protection. ML is priority for me.
