The Weekend Team News

Dele Alli is suspended for Tottenham’s final three league matches. Philippe Coutinho is doubtful for Liverpool’s trip to the Liberty due to illness, Everton’s defence is hit hard by injury and suspension for Bournemouth’s visit, whilst Santi Cazorla is back in the frame as Arsenal entertain Norwich at the Emirates.

Dele Alli will miss the rest of the season after he was handed a three-match ban by the FA for his altercation with West Brom’s Claudio Yacob on Monday evening.

Mamadou Sakho has been handed an initial 30-day suspension by UEFA whilst they begin to investigate the Liverpool defender’s failed drug test. The Reds are sweating on the fitness of Philippe Coutinho for Sunday’s trip to Swansea after he was forced off due to illness in last night’s Europa League loss at Villarreal.

Wilfried Zaha is rated as “50-50” for Palace’s trip to Newcastle due to a hamstring injury.

Everton are without injured trio Phil Jagielka, Seamus Coleman and Gareth Barry for the visit of Bournemouth. Ramiro Funes Mori serves the second of a three-match ban for the Toffees, whilst Roberto Martinez has revealed that teenage attacker Kieran Dowell could be handed a first-team opportunity after scoring a hat-trick for the reserves on Monday night.

Ciaran Clark is back in training ahead of Villa’s clash with Watford tomorrow. The defender will be included in the squad if he comes through training without any problems today, Erik Black confirmed. Kieran Richardson remains sidelined with a calf injury, whilst Gabby Agbonlahor has had his club suspension lifted and will be available for selection from next Monday.

Sunderland have a fully-fit squad for their visit to Stoke after Jeremain Lens recovered from the illness that ruled him out of last week’s goalless draw against Arsenal.

Slaven Bilic confirmed that West Ham have a clean bill of health for their trip to the Hawthorns.

Santi Cazorla is available for Arsenal’s home match with Norwich and “might be involved” after an extended period on the sidelines. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in first-team training but remains a major doubt.

Swansea are without Alberto Paloschi and Leroy Fer for the visit of Liverpool. The duo have been sidelined with hamstring problems amid reports that they may not play again this season.

Etienne Capoue is unlikely to play again this season after being forced off in Watford’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to Palace with a knee injury. Quique Sanchez Flores has revealed that Odion Ighalo rejected the chance to fly back to Nigerian following the death of his father and is will be available for selection.

Adam Smith and Harry Arter remain sidelined for Bournemouth’s trip to Goodison, Eddie Howe confirmed earlier this morning. The Cherries boss also revealed that Max Gradel is “improving slightly” and is hopeful the winger will step up his fitness after missing out last weekend with a leg problem.

Tony Pulis is hopeful that Ben Foster will return to training today after missing Monday’s draw at Spurs with an ankle problem. Saido Berahino is back in training after missing out with a similar complaint, though Pulis will make a late decision on his availability. The Baggies boss went on to reveal he hopes to hand some minutes to youngsters such as Jonathan Leko, and Tyler Roberts before the season is over.

Is Fabregas really a good punt, feels like chasing points. He's been very unpredictable. Blanked in a 4-0 win over Villa.
Even a demoralised Spurs will be tough then face a scrappy Sunderland and Liverpool away. Hardy plum fixtures, though he blanked in those too (avl, nor, wat, swa).

So glad I chose DDG - Mignolet - Gabriel over Cech - Robles - Smalling...

You know there's serious problems when even the keeper is being rotated like a hoola hoop.

Transferring out Sakho and Mitrovic. Best options to bring in from this point till the DGW (next 2 fixtures only):
    1) Carroll
    2) Defoe
    3) Deeney

    A) Van Aanholt
    B) Cathcart
    C) Kirchoff

If I get Hazard in on WC, who should I bench out of him & Firmino? Other mids are Townsend, Sanchez & Payet and want to play all of them.

Hi guys. Me and my friends have an american style fantasy draft league. I have currently got schmeichel and mignolet as GK and have mertesacker, bellerin, Morgan, kolarov and pab zab as defenders. Was wondering if anyone had any advice on who to start?? We can play 3 (I'd choose morgan and the two arsenal) or 4 at the back (I'd choose two man city and two arsenal)

Don't really understand the rules of who you can select but personally I'd play mignolet, and the 2 city and 2 arsenal defenders - ie avoid Leicester. Can't see Leicester keeping a clean sheet

I thought Klopp said Mignolet will be rested this weekend.

Would it be stupid to get Lukaku this week and hope he outscores Kun who will prob be taken off after 60 min? I am prob going to do the change for dbl gw anyway. Is lukaku a nailed on starter even, with Everton season virtually dead?

Don't get rid of Aguero. I'd put in Lanzini for Coutinho and hold the money to be honest.

I think those putting in Fabregas are utterly mental!

      why?

Because people are putting him in since he got 3 assists against Bournemouth which was simply a freak anomaly based on this season. It's madness and chasing last week's points.

Fair point. He did manage 14 points against West Ham 5 weeks ago but then 2 against Villa is worrying. Let's see how Hazard performs against Spurs. There are not that many good DGW mids about.

Sometime it's better to just put in players with favourable fixtures rather than shoehorning in DGW players. Townsend is one that comes to mind, although he's not an amazing choice either.

What 11 and formation should i play for this week, any suggestions?
    Here's my team:

    Mignolet/Mannone

    PVA, Bellerin, Cresswell/Moreno/Simpson

    Sanchez, Townsend, Fabregas/Payet/Iwobi

    Aguero, Carroll, Defoe

Pretty sure of playing PVA, Bellerin, Sanchez, Townsend, Aguero, Carroll, Defoe. Need help with the remaining.

Also should i use my triple captain on Sanchez?
