Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs Leicester

Saturdays’s events conclude at Anfield when Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will host champions Leicester City.

The big teamsheet news is that Klopp has made the decision to keep Philippe Coutinho on the bench, despite flying him back early from international duty with Brazil. That allows Daniel Sturridge to earn a second start of the season, whilst Lucas has to come into to central defence with Dejan Lovren ruled out with an injury sustained in training.

Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City are unchanged as they bid to build on their 2-1 win over Swansea City in Gameweek 3. There’s no place on the bench for new signing Islam Slimani.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Similarly to LateRiser, I was thinking of going for GW6 Wildcard. Strongly considering ditching Ramirez. Friend and Rondon are unfortunately still an issue. Should I target 6.6m midfield options or reassess on Friday?

          One of the Southampton strikers may be alright, Swansea (H), West Ham (A), Leicester (A) and Burnley (H) are tremendous fixtures attacking-wise. You just need to get the one that starts. 😉

    I am on 22 - 4 I captained Negredo. VC snodgrass so I feel a bit sickened!

    However I did not use a wildcard like many did this week

    I am just curious how the wildcarders did in comparison did many have the foresight to get in liverpool players for example?

    What is the general post wildcard vibe on here?

      Would have done Aguero and Firmino to Lukaku and Sanchez for a hit probably. Would have had Lamela instead of Antonio, Gray instead of Benteke; Redmond Foster Valencia Stones Friend instead of Ozil Cech Williams Masuaku McAuley wouldn't have made much difference though. So overall playing my wc was probably best for me, certainly since I opted for Firmino over Sterling.
