Our first members article of the week delves into the Gameweek 12 data.

We analyse Eden Hazard’s home and away performances and compare Harry Kane’s numbers against last season’s Golden Boot displays.

Victor Anichebe’s impact on Jermain Defoe comes under analysis, while we also run the rule over Watford’s raiding wing-backs, Swansea and Palace’s form midfielders and a downturn in output from Everton’s main man.

It is worth noting in the article that Holebas and Janmaat are "tea-mates". We in the San Jose Holebas team (Chili Bowl Competition) of course knew this, but for the rest of you this might provide vital information for future transfers. The bond created over multiple cups of tea will surely transfer into FPL points.

Siggy could be worth a transfer in this week. Has Spurs away next week but can see a goal for him against his old side.

Why all this "hate" for Capoue? And in this case why should Shaq be a better pick?
He scored 5, 14 BPS, 4 double digit haul, only 1 YC...
As an italian i know Mazzarri and he loves mids going forward, that's why he's scoring that much, and in preseason already he showed this attacking threat.
He isn't probably the 4th mid to play every week in an FPL side but after 12 matches I can say he is good enough to be preferred to Shaq, especially at home.

If you paid 6.3m for Shaqiri you have to play him against Watford. More attacking player.

thanks, I did mention on a post elsewhere that I felt bad at pipping you only by the late bonus going to Brunt. Without that I would've lost on overall rank, which is also close by the way.

Ironically thats why I went for McAuley. When I checked the rank you were ahead so I wasnt too put out by the BP but I guess my rank hadnt been updated with the autosubs when I checked. I think I would have been a lot more gutted at the time if I knew I was ranked ahead of you 😆

How do sort out my defence for the coming weeks?

    Vertonghen(4YCs), Morgan, Lovren, Holebas, Amat

    Thinking next week:

    Morgan & Lovren/Vert out.
    Cedric & Alonso in.

Alonso has City in GW14 but I might be priced out by GW15. Vertonghen if booked against Chelsea which is highly possible will miss Swansea at home and I won't want to start him for United away the gameweeks after.

    Appreciate your thoughts!

Not this week for sure. But I certainly want fit in a Chelsea defender.

If Vertonghen gets a YC this match I won't have him for SWA at home and next he plays United away.

Morgan has 3 away matches in 4 after Boro at home this week. Leicester haven't been solid away from home.

Southampton have good fixtures all way up till next year Jan/Feb and they are a good defensive unit.

Morgans fixtures after Boro home this week (sun, MCI, bou, stk).

Looks good. I would get rid of Vert too since Spurs don't look like a good defensive side with Alderweireld out.

Morgan's fixtures also don't look good after Boro at home this week, 3 away matches in the next 4 and City at home.

If Vert gets a yellow against Chelsea he's definitely out for me.

    Hi all,

    Got 2 FT's burning a hole, and a huge 0.4 ITB... team as follows;

    Grant/Pick
    Pieters Holebas Walker Amat Evans
    Cout Sanchez Firm Wally Carrick
    Kun Luk Austin

I was close to doing Walker/Luk - Cedric/Costa earlier, but having second thoughts. Any advice on this, or should I be looking to upgrade a keeper, or Carrick? SO indecisive.

All constructive advice appreciated, as well as humorous insults.

    My midfield

Redomond -- Mane-- Hazard -- Ciutinho -- Sanchez

    Attack

    Vokes -- Anichebe-- Aguero

I'm thinking of doing something different.

    Sanchez+Vokes ---> Zlatan+ Phillips

Is that something you'd say "No way" to or can you in any way, understand my thinking?

United looking good attack wise, zlatan might start returning points regularly and Phillips is still having good 3 fixtures coming up in next 4. Also, any chance Sanchez might be pushed to the wings and Giroud playing up top starting? (Especially after 2 disappointing arsenal performances)

Decent but they did concede 4 to west brom. I know that's away but slightly worrying going forward for them

Kun to zlatan leaving money for redmond go siggy and vokes to likes of Austin in the future

Brunt playing right mid. Morrison in No.10 til Chadli returns. Think TP will always want a fit Brunt in his side for his set pieces. WBA fixtures are pretty good til GW27 if you can cover off away trips to Chel (GW 15), Ars (GW 18)and Spurs (GW21)

Siggy but I have this worry with Swansea

They are bottom of the table and have been awful to a point

Siggy has done reasonably well but it's worrying they are so bad. Siggy can't keep doing getting them out of it. Unfortunately looks like he's the only player there who has any quality and that's not too good going forward as his attacking returns maybe impacted

Considering WBA's form will Chaldi go straight back into the starting XI against Hull or will Morrison continue in No.10 role?

    Therefore, should I bench:

    A) Chaldi (hul)
    B) Fuchs (MID)
    C) Holebas (STK)
    D) Brunt (hul)

Over the next few weeks which is better?

    A. Snoddy, Cedric/lovren/jekinson, giroud, 4.3df (4 transfers)

    B. Siggy, Cedric/lovren/jenkinson, Deeney, 4.5df (3 transfers)

    C. Walcott, Dawson(4.4df), Deeney, 4.5df (3 transfers)

    D. Walcott, Cedric/lovren/Jenkinson, vokes/Rondon, 4.5df (4 transfers)

I plan to make these transfers within the next two gw.

I'm on Shaqiri, baines, Deeney, stones.

    Help appreciated.

Afternoon folks. Need help with a burning issue...

Is it time to bite the bullet and ditch Chadli having had zero return? I got him in just before the Leicester game for a hit considering his great run of fixtures. He's since not played, is uncertain to start at Hull even if he is fit and is dropping dramatically in value.

    This is what I'm thinking...
    OUT: Chadli & Sanchez
IN: Siggy & Mané (too many ML rivals have Firmino)

    Thoughts?

Do it. Mane is phenomenal at home and Siggy is holding his own. I have a feeling Sanchez will be moved to make way for Giroud back into the line up.

Have you already got Coutinho? I think he'd be a much more consistent option, and he is of course a little cheaper.

Siggy is a great shout in midfield at the moment, although I do think Chadli will be worth getting again in a couple of weeks.

When will people learn, a fit Aguero is a must

    Last 6 GWs:
    - Most goal attempts
    - Most shots inside the box
    - Most shots blocked
    - Most shots on target

And they have Burnley up next who shipped 4 goals to a 'Tony Pullis' WBA

    Last 6 GWs for Burnley
    - Most chances conceded (central zone)
    - Most Goal attempts conceded in box

    You have been warned

Two cleanies at home (Watford). That also includes two cleanies ruined in stoppage time and one in the 82'. Heaton is actually unlucky not to be on more points.

      Last 6 weeks you say....

Most goal attempts....2 ahead of Ibra over 6 weeks (Ibra has missed a game)
Most shots inside the box - 1 ahead of Benteke, 2 ahead of Ibra (see above)
Most shots on target - joint top with Ibra

So at £2m cheaper Ibra must be a must to 🙂

Last chance for Sanchez and Aguero. If they get a goal or less this weekend, I'm spreading my money elsewhere.

    Current:
    Grant (Jaku)
    Walker Fuchs Holebas Smith McAuley
    Sanchez Hazard Mane Firmino Coutinho
    Aguero Anichebe (Bench Fodder)

    Without Aguero and Sanchez:
    Cech (Jaku)
    Walker Alonso Valencia Holebas McAuley
    YaYa Hazard Mane Firmino Coutinho
    Kane Costa Anichebe

In the next 8 gameweeks Aguero faces Burnley twice, Hull away and Watford at home.

I know Burnley are generally solid at home but after their perfomance against WBA I could see Aguero getting another 5 goal haul in one of those 4 games most likely Burnley at home or Hull away.

He will almost certainly be rested against Watford or Hull (Leicester, Arsenal and Liverpool either side of those games) and Burnley at home comes just two days after Liverpool.
