The Big Numbers – Gameweek 13

It’s time for our usual rummage around the Gameweek data this afternoon, in our first members’ article of the week.

We assess Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez’ home and away displays after both bagged a brace last time out, while a pair of Southampton assets also come under analysis. We also check in on Swansea’ City’s playmaker and a cut-price Liverpool alternative to Philippe Coutinho, with the Brazilian now set for over a month on the sidelines.

Assuming Firmino is deemed fit for the weekend would you consider replacing him with Eriksen on WC?

    (A) Stick with Firmino (bou, WHU, mid, eve)
    (B) Eriksen (SWA, mun, BUR, HUL)

Jeez Lizard you don't remember my WC team by heart by now? 😉

        Heaton - Randolph*
        Alonso - Rose - Cedric - Janmaat - Nyom*
        Eriksen* - Hazard - Siggy - Walcott - Fer/Phillips*
        Austin - Costa - Kane

The * means I'm undecided on those positions

Need a midfielder less than 6.1 pull off Benteke to Kane, any suggestions? Looking like Phillips or Snodgrass so far

Can/Fer/Matic/Moses/Snoddy/Zaha/Phillips all popular choices around these parts.

Dont like any at all apart from Chadli at 6.3M and even thats a push. They are just not up to it IMO. Next best is Lallana/Siggy IMO.

Redmond! Hasn't really produced yet but Saints fixtures are turning good and he's your man.

Are peoples opinions on Anichebe purely price/injury based? People are saying Defoe is a good option and if I look at his next 11 fixtures 4 look difficult but the rest look good. Surely that must apply to Anichebe as well albeit not on pens or with the same pedigree. If you look at points since he has started playing he has matched Defoe but has far superior threat values. Should have had an assist against Pool as well if Watmore wasn't.......well Watmore. Yes it is Anichebe but if Defoe is a decent option surely Anichebe should be considered one at that price. He does wonders to the rest of your team.
Caveat: I have him and trying to convince myself 🙂

Haha, I have him and I'm not convinced either. Worthwhile gamble at the price though I can see him being swapped out at some point in the near future

Maybe a worthwhile gamble at his price but he is Anichebe 😉 Defoe is a much better player and finisher.

I have him and will play him for the next two and then reassess. I don't think his points will be that far behind Defoe's, could prove to be a bargain.

I think he is a great differential, regardless of the price. I have and will hold him for the near future for sure.

Keen on having Kun for the long term but seriously considering Kun to Kane for the next 4 gwk weeks only. (Have Kun Costa and Austin up front, with Firm, Sanchez and Haz in the midfield).

Kane provides a no brainer captain for 3 out of the next four with SWA, BUR and HULL all at home. Will get Kun back after.

Have already made a transfer so it will be for -4.

Grow a pair and just do it already ya?

I'd sooner do Costa > Kane than Kun > Kane, but even then probably not for a hit.

Costa has increased too much to get him back, not considering it. Bar the inevitable suspension, he is a season keeper too.

You'll just have to stick then. Can't have them all.

Unless Kun gets rested, they have Lei (who've been bad at the back this season), Watford and Hull in their next 5.

Not very sure I would prefer anyone over him for those fixtures

I know, i'm torn. Feel Kun could really punish if I get him out.

The questions is will Kun outscore Kane in the next 4?

            Might just stick.

Haha, it's a tough one. I'm sticking with Kun till either:
              1. Kane fires
              2. Get news he's being rotated

Personally, I think he'll outscore Kane

I am considering captaining Aguero this week. They have to win the game, Chelsea will score, so City will be pushing for at least 2 goals. I think Pep has been preparing for this game, KDB is rested, and I can see a Pep masterclass like we saw against Barcelona. Plus, it's Aguero, 2 pens and a tap in hasn't convinced me that Kane is a better option, and I'm feeling brave.

        Thoughts?

If I don't end up with Kane I'll be captaining Aguero, surely has a big game in him and if they give him the space they gave Eriksen last weekend it's all gravy

Is it worth to keep Benteke, Anichebe and Gundogan?

Someone talk me out of buying Can for the next 4 fixtures? (Enables Kane, Costa, Aguero) happy to lose Kane again after next 4
