Dugout Discussion – Saturday

The Gameweek continues with a quartet of three o’clock fixtures with our attention drawn, in particular, to the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s has started 2017 by reinforcing his growing reputation as a villain amongst the Fantasy Football community by opting to bench Sergio Aguero against Burnley.

Brought in by more than 135,000 and handed the armband by 11% of all FPL managers, the Argentine will share his owners frustration having returned from a four-match ban with a blank at Anfield on Saturday.

Kelechi Iheanacho starts for City up front, Jesus Navas, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna also get the nod.

Elsewhere, Daniel Sturridge earns a first start since Gameweek eight as Jordan Henderson misses out with a heel injury for Liverpool at Sunderland. Divock Origi is benched again.

Fantasy managers will have high hopes of a convincing victory for Jurgen Klopp’s side at the Stadium of Light having witnessed the Black Cats’ capitulation at Turf Moor on Saturday. Adam Lallana was the top transfer target ahead of today’s deadline and has been captained by more than 100,000.

Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku will be seeking a revival of his goalscoring form against Southampton at Goodison Park and, at The Hawthorns, Matt Phillips will carry the hopes of his 222,000 new owners ahead of a clash with Hull City.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Any lucky buggers with Nyom must be feeling jammy as f***

Should've done that Clyne hit to Baines and Evans to Brunt I was talked out of.. Lessons learned: I am bad at this game, always go with your gut.

I don't think so, no. He may have even latched onto a poor backpass earlier if he was a little faster.

AHA YESS IBRA. I was just about to say he's looked like a sloth this whole game. Offside too but he deserves that after the last game.

Out of curiosity what did Snodgrass do to get max BPS when they lost 3-1, did he help deliver a baby in the pitch at half time or something?
