Each week we are reviewing the aggregated predictions on Superbru’s Premier League Predictor game, using the collective Wisdom of the Crowd predictions to guide our fantasy football thinking.
Please join the FFS league here and add your own predictions to the data – the more there are, the more accurate the crowd should be (in theory).
GAMEWEEK 18 REVIEW
Crystal Palace’s thrashing of Leicester was the biggest upset of Round 18, and with fantasy favourites such as Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha gracing the scoresheet, perhaps it’s a sign of things to come from Palace.
Here are the Gameweek 18 results in descending order of predictability:
Well done to Edo Omerdic, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, for winning the Yellow Cap in the FFS pool.
Mr Crowd Wisdom – using the aggregated predictions of the crowd – moved moved up to 76th out of 451 in the FFS pool, and remains well above average on page one of the leaderboard.
The aggregated predictions of the community are making better predictions than most individual players in the game, suggesting that there is credibility in the Wisdom of the Crowd concept.
GAMEWEEK 19 PREVIEW
Here is the Expected Goals chart for each fixture in GW19:
And here is the ranking of teams in order of Expected Goals Scored and Conceded:
It’s all about Manchester City this weekend with Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero all offering huge potential for returns when Bournemouth drop by. Currently the England winger, Belgian midfield maestro and Argentine striker occupy the top three places in FFScout’s captain poll, to further underline Fantasy managers’ faith in the Sky Blues this time around.
In addition, City are expected to keep a clean sheet, to give optimism for those with Nicolas Otamendi in their side.
Elsewhere, West Ham, Stoke and Crystal Palace could provide budget-friendly defensive options.
Good luck!
