Having published their player list early, the Telegraph have today added a selection of new entries to their player list including Darren Bent and Arsenal’s new boy, Eduardo Da Silva. Bent comes in at 6.5 a price he shares with Anelka but De Silva is valued at 5.7 which puts him in the same bracket as Defoe and Carew. That could well be a bargain. This lad hit 34 goals in 32 games last season, albeit in the Croation league. If he gets a regular game, we already know that Arsenal will create the chances for him.
Various other players have been added, including Derby’s Robert Earnshaw – another potential bargain at just 4.3. That makes him the highest valued striker amongst the promoted sides but he’s still well worth considering. A goal every 2 games for Norwich last year and the fella had a resonable record in the Premiership for West Brom considering he was too often used as a sub. In 2004/05 he hit 11 goals in 18 starts and 13 appearances as sub.
Also added today are Newcastles new signing Rozehnal, West Ham’s Faubert, Birmingham’s Kapo and de Ridder and Blackburn’s new Dutch starlet Maceo Rigters. Geremi meanwhile has swapped clubs from Chelsea to Newcastle as a result of today’s transfer deal – another shrewdy by Big Sam.
All these moves and additions are reflected in my Selection Stats section.
