Didier Drogba hit his first pre-season goal to give Chelsea victory in their second game of the US tour this morning against the brilliantly named Samsung Bluewings. Chelsea went with two lineups for this game, although both employed a 4-3-3 system. A strange once since Jose had revealed yesterday that he planned to play with two central midfielders and with two wide men. As it was Sidwell joined Lampard and Essien in a powerful midfield this morning. Sam Hutchinson played in the troubled left-back spot in the first half, with Glen Johnson playing in the centre of defence. In the second half it was Ferreira who moved to the left with Ben Haim coming in to the centre, this despite Jose’s claims that he will turn to his new signing to fill in at left-back once the season kicks off.
