Joe Hart has been confirmed by Sven as City’s number one [source]. The young keeper has been part of a manage a’ trois at City for the keepers’s jersey along with Andreas Isaksson and Kasper Schmeichel but Sven has now announced the decision to hand the place for the “foreseeable future” to Hart.
Schmeichel has been out on loan at Cardiff recently but Isaksson has made a number of recent appearances after recovering from injury. He now looks set to leave in the January window in order to cement his place in the Swedish national side.
“It was important for everybody that I came up with this decision before the transfer window opens in January. I don’t know what Andreas will do but if he comes back and tells me he wants to go, I will not be surprised and I will understand”, added Sven today.
With the keeper situation settled at Eastlands, Hart now becomes a prime target for Fantasy Managers. City have been resolute in defence, particularly at home, all season and Hart should be available in most games for a very decent price.
Hart begins his term as City’s number one at Villa Park at the weekend. He’ll then face two consecutive home games over Christmas against Blackburn and Liverpool.
